The Make Me Over (thank you, Babeland) is from OhMiBod’s Bedroom Kandi line created by Kandi Burruss from the Real Housewives Of Atlanta. I’m not going to lie – this elicited a big eye roll on my end. At first glance it looks like a big powder puff case. I thought it was totally corny and I wasn’t really that enthused. Sure, I recognize that OhMiBod makes quality products, but I’ve seen so many crappy vibrating lip sticks and hair brushes that it is hard to wrap my noodle around the idea of the make-up case as a decent sex toy. To my pleasure and surprise, I was mistaken.
Once you get inside of the sleek black cardboard box, you find another sexy little box that holds the Make Me Over. Inside, (what looks like) a powder puff case rest on silky soft material. Here is how this totally discrete vibe works:
The black powder puff looking case comes with a decent mirror and holds the actual vibrator that is modeled to look like the puff. The beautiful case also acts as the charger – just plug in the provided USB cable. Love it.
The fully charged vibe gives you an hour and a half of usage. The circular toy is 3 inches wide and less than an inch thick. It is made from soft silicone and an awesomely convenient strap is included to slip your fingers through. It is splash proof, although I admit I didn’t test this feature.
I am definitely a girl that likes overall vulva stimulation so I love that the Make Me Over covers so much surface area. While the vibration is strongest towards edges of the toy, it is dispersed through out. This is not the vibe for direct clit stimulation. The buzz is not overly intense like the Hitachi or pocket rocket, rather it is more thumpy and diffuse. I prefer this, but those who require more zing will be left wanting more. My only complaint is that the little metal part that receives the charge is exposed right in the middle of the vibrator. I can’t really think of a better place to put it, but I think a little silicone flap could be added to cover it for when it is actually being used. It didn’t hinder my enjoyment, it just seemed odd to place to place the metal piece on my vag! I should mention that there is a medium-low noise level.
The silicone surface is soft and comfortably textured. It is ideal for pressing against yourself as the intensity builds. Even with the little metal piece, there are no moment-ruining seams to catch or pinch my goods. The little strap is snug and totally helpful for easy handling. The controls are placed near your finger tips, although you definitely have to remove your hand from the strap or use your other hand to press the buttons. There are low to high settings with a few different pulsation patterns, although I’m a steady buzz kind of girl. There are plus and minus buttons that you cycle though accordingly. Hold down the plus sign for a few seconds to turn on and do the same with the minus sign to turn off.
You definitely have to take care and spot wash with soap and water or toy cleaner. Don’t get the little metal plate wet and make sure it is completely dry before putting it back in the case. Remember, no silicone lube with silicone toys! Use water based only!
Before wrapping up I’ll add that I used it alone, but I think it could totally be used on your partner. The strap may be a little snug on larger hands, but it would be perfect for playing with your lover.
I love this toy. It offers far more than I expected and is actually tailored to my liking (overall diffuse stim, silicone, strap, rechargeable, pretty, etc). Kandi, I retract the eyeroll.
