Any time I see Tyler Knight’s name pop up in the star listings for a movie I get a little excited. Besides being super handsome and a sex god, he just happens to be a painter & poet. Isn’t that the best?

Apparently Tiger Woods made some sort of public apology today for his past adulterous behaviors. Last week we celebrated the nominations for 2010′s Oscars of porn, the AVN Awards. Since then, we’ve been all bouncy and excited for the fine folks that made the list this year, and apparently we are not the only ones. People have been blogging up a storm since the announcement, including the nominees themselves. So, here’s a little insider scoop of the AVN nominations – straight from the horse’s mouth!
Jiz Lee wrote up a delightfully thanks-filled piece about both her nomination for “Best New Web Starlet” and Pink and White’s “Best Video Feature” for Champion: Love Hurts and even included us on the list! *Blush!*
If an explicit film with a plot about a female fighter who faces homophobia/gender discrimination as a major plot-line can make it into the running of what many call “The Oscars” of adult movies — add it it that the majority of the cast and crew are queer/trans & gender-non-conforming/people of color, and that it was produced with less than half the budget of the other videos in this category — then Holy Shit that’s better than Hollywood….
…As a genderqueer I never expected to be listed as a “starlet”. I mean, I’m SO very different than the other new web stars on AVN’s nominations list. Like, I’m the only one packing! But I’ll take this as an opportunity to open any doors in gender and sexuality — whether it’s a cisgender woman who wishes she didn’t have to shave her legs/armpits/lovely asshole to be sexy, or whether it’s a trans or gender-variant perv who thinks there may be a chance at stardom in the mainstream. There is opportunity out there for queer visibility and expanding acceptance at who we are and how we love.
We just added Frisk Me, the first movie from Good Releasing’s HeartCore Films to the site, and I can’t wait to sit down and watch this one from start to finish this weekend. Yeah, that’s right, I’m watching this one off the clock!
I mean, with Satine Phoenix, Syd Blakovich and Tyler Knight all getting down and dirty, I can’t imagine this will be anything but amazing. I’m a huge fan of Madison Young, who takes on Tyler’s Knight-stick in the final scene, and I really love what she gets out of her performers as a director.

In response to the news that broke on Friday about a judge in Louisiana refusing to marry an interracial couple, I thought it fitting to find some hot interracial action to make it a firm point – it’s 2009 asshole, get with the freakin’ picture. Our latest Sweet Sinner addition fits the bill as one super hot interracial flick, with Tyler Knight taking the title lead as the sister’s lover. Racism can go screw, we have hot screwing to watch!
While I’ll be perfectly honest that I am a little over the whole adultery and weird family dynamics that Sweet Sinner seems to favor, I do love their commitment to real sex, real passion and real orgasms. Chemistry trumps plot for me, so I am willing to overlook it this time around and just get to the goods! And goods they are! I’ve had a weakness for Tyler Knight ever since first seeing him in Tristan Taormino’s Chemistry 4 a while back. Sure he’s a pretty good actor and seems genuine, but really, let’s get a little shallow here, those abs are totally out of this world. In fact, his whole body is totally sexy, and you know that’s a big statement from the lips of this bonafide lesbo.
Basically, this is the story of a neglected wife (Kylie Ireland) whose visiting sister (Lindsay Meadows) brings her boyfriend (Tyler Knight) around. We get some hot Meadows/Knight action before Ireland steps in for some of her own “Knight in shining armor.” Meadows and Knight totally heat up the screen, fucking up and down the bed and switching up positions left and right. Nothing looks forced or “porny” though, just natural, exciting and super duper hot.
Of course, I can’t forget about Michelle Lay here either. Michelle, Kylie’s best friend, is busy fucking Nick Manning, Kylie’s husband. Oh what a tangled web this is! Good thing all that really matters here is the sexin’, and that there is plenty of it. Michelle Lay is always so into her scenes and is totally expressive throughout the entire thing. It’s really fun to watch her get off. Nick Manning doesn’t do it for me, especially not with that hair, but I just focused on Michelle and I was cool.
Everything changes when Lindsay skips town and leaves Tyler heartbroken, and crying on her sister Kylie’s shoulder… and licking her pussy. While I didn’t enjoy the Kylie/Tyler scene as much as his romp in scene one, it was still smokin’ hot and definitely worth a watch. But really, all Sweet Sinner scenes are. Nica Noelle just knows how to do it right.
For some pornographers there is little difference between art and porn. The results don’t always come out as smoothly as you’d like them too, but this Vena Virago directed movie totally nails the art/porn merger on the head. Mixing interviews and gonzo-style filming (aka. the filming is part of the action), Virago takes the focus of the scenes away from porno and plays up the reality that these two stars are having sex. It’s like watching actors that play friends on a tv show hang out in real life. It’s really fun and engaging to watch. Plus she picked some of my all time faves, including Michelle Aston and Roxy Deville.
I was so looking forward to scene four with Michelle Aston and Page Morgan. It’s common knowledge that I have a crush on the lovely Ms. Aston and am always super excited to see what she has to offer. Unfortunately things didn’t go as sexy as I had planned. I loved that during her interview, Aston talked all about her time as a neuro-scientist (so hot!), but when she started in with the whole “I love making love to a woman because that’s the ultimate form of goddess worship,” I totally lost my boner. I’m not saying that isn’t poetic or whatever, but that kinda talk just doesn’t do it for me when I wanna get hot and bothered. The actual sex was a little on the “eh” side too. Anything with a Hitachi Magic Wand is pretty awesome, but Page Morgan seemed a bit uninterested, or maybe scared (well, it was her first real lesbian experience, so I’ll cut her a little slack).
The rest of the movie was pretty amazing though. I loved the pre-sex interview piece that came with each scene. It was really cool to hear each of performers talk about their time in the industry and how they started. My favorite one was definitely scene five’s Rebeca Linares and Tyler Knight. Both performers did their interviews in Spanish, which was fun, and I really liked how personal they got about their interests. The sex was pretty fucking mind blowing as well. Can’t forget that! This whole movie reminded me of Tristan Taormino’s Chemistry series, which I loved, and I can’t help but give it two thumbs up. I’m excited to watch disc 2!
