Top Five Tuesday
Today is one that will go down in history, as America just saw their first African-American president sworn in. Today’s top five Tuesday highlights my favorite historical spoofs. I know it’s a stretch, but it’s a lot harder to incorporate someone named Obama into a porno blog. The only good thing to come out of the last eight years, in my opinion, is the number of Dick and Bush jokes one was able to make.

Can you believe we are there again? That time when we say goodbye to the last 12 months and ring in the new year! It seems like 2008 flew by here at HotMoviesForHer, what with all the awesome changes and exciting additions we’ve had since January. Not only did we get a major facelift in the spring with our fabulous redesign and merger of our blog onto the main site, we upgraded our navigation tools and created the queer theater and dyke porn category, making it as easy as possible for you guys to find exactly what you’re looking for. We also added a ton of new movies, reviews, columns and blogtastic weeklies, like Top Five Tuesdays, Mixtape Rewind and 2 Out Of 2 Lesbians Agree.
This year we also welcomed a few new members to our team, Miss Behaving and PBR Princess, who have come on board with toy reviews and interviews galore. They are both awesome additions to the HM4Her crew and we are happy to have them here! While she doesn’t post as much to the site, HotMoviesForHer creator Venus Vegas is still around, working behind the scenes to make sure that the site is as wonderful as can be!

One thing that the adult world is sorely lacking is Hanukkah porn. Seriously, type “Christmas” into the search box on this site and a ton of movies pop up. Try that with the festival of lights and all you get is a big fat nothing. Not that it’s our fault, by any means, for some reason no one wants to get down and dirty with a dreidel. The 2009 AVN Award Nominees were announced recently and I thought it was a good chance to highlight some great movies that came out in the past year.
For those of you who don’t know, the AVN Awards are basically the Oscars of Adult. Take the red carpet glamor and long winded speeches of Hollywood’s big night – add a healthy does of porn – and you’ve got the industry’s biggest night of the year.
While the evening belongs to the big money studios, they also pay homage to some smaller studios and films – which tend to be the movies I prefer. So, in no particular order, here are my top five 2009 AVN Award nominees.

Right now I’m most excited about having a day off on Thursday, but there are a lot of things I’m thankful for besides paid holidays. One thing I love about my job is how much fun it is. I love porn. Duh, right? Of course I love watching hot sex on screen, but when it comes to porn, sometimes there’s so much more to love than just what’s on the surface.
