It is so nice to finally see the media talking about porn in a positive light! Yesterday CNN.com posted a fantastic article about STI (or as they are sometimes called STDs) prevention within the porn industry and how non-porno folks could stand to learn a thing or two about keeping up with testing, like a porn star. Very cool.

While this article is awesome, it does come on the heels of the Adult Industry Medical (AIM) clinic closing. The organization, started by ex-performer Sharon Mitchell, catered to the whole industry, providing STI testing and a performer database for checking test results. Though Talent Testing Services is still doing the good work, it’s a shame that AIM is no longer a resource.

As we are gearing up for a three-day weekend (as well as my birthday, which I can’t seem to mention enough), this week is flying by with lots to do and, of course, watch! Hmmm… something tells me that TSA officers will probably not be very friendly when it comes to trans/gender-varient folks. Ok, we all know Valentine’s Day is coming at the end of this week. Sure, it exciting for some of us - but to others it’s totally annoying and a bit of a bother. And while I’m of the giddy, squeally variety when it comes to Feb. 14th, I’ve decided to consciously not inundate this week’s Link Love with all the sweetness and hearts that every other blog on the web is sporting.
