The Theta is one of the new dildos from Tantus’ Elements line and I’m basically all about it. To be honest, I wasn’t sure about this one when I took it out of the packaging because it’s pretty small and more flexible than I anticipated. However, after calling upon this toy on a regular basis over the past couple of weeks, let me tell you my hesitations were uncalled for.
First, let me talk about Tantus a little bit. They’re a company you can feel great about supporting. All of their products are healthy for the body – you won’t find any smelly rubber dongs in their collection. They also make a real effort to manufacture their products in the most green way possible. Since we’re always talking about the importance of purchasing toys that don’t ooze dangerous phthlates and everyone is concerned with doing their part to save the environment, it’s nice to hear about a company that shares the same values.
Now back to the Theta. This little dildo is great for those of you who are new to the toy game and not looking to take on a rubber cock the size of your forearm. Because of the flared base and the fact that silicone can be sterilized by boiling, it’s also a great toy for beginner anal play. Like a lot of Tantus toys, this one has a hole in the shaft for a bullet vibe that adds another element of stimulation. Since silicone transfers vibration really well, this transforms a good dildo into a great vibrator.
Before owning it, I was most excited about the g-spot curve, which proved to be all I hoped for. Because it is a really flexible toy, it actually provides great g-spot and clitoral stimulation at the same time. Of course, this is amazing, but it was super exciting for me because I’ve been longing after a toy like the Rock Chick for a while, but hadn’t heard great reviews. I have a few different Lelo vibrators, including the MIA and Lily, but was really excited about reviewing the Iris. The other Lelo products I own are all really small vibrators made for external stimulation, so I was looking forward to something a little bigger that can be used internally.
Upon opening the package the Iris arrived in, I knew I was in for something special. Like all Lelo toys, it comes in a nice display box that can be used for storage. One thing I love about these sharp looking boxes is that you can store everything in it. Underneath the tray which the toy rests in, I store the charger, which means I have less of a chance of mixing up any of the 10 or some random chargers I have throughout my house. So besides looking super classy, the box is actually really helpful.
This luxury vibe is made of silicone and hard plastic, so you should only use water-based lube with it. It’s pretty sizeable, so I definitely recommend lubing up before taking this one out on a date. It looks like some sort of abstract flower, hence the name, and I thought that the ridges added a nice texture that helped to stimulate my g-spot.
The best thing about the Iris is, without a doubt, the fact that it has two separate motors. One is located in the tip of the vibe and the other is further down the shaft. A couple of the pulsation patterns switch back and forth between the two, which provided a sensation I’d never felt before and very much enjoyed. Speaking of the options for this vibe, there are five different settings all of which can be used at various speeds. I really love all the different options, you can get off quickly or take your time!
The only complaint I have about the Iris, and I’ve read this in other reviews so I’m not alone, is that the controls can be a little tricky during the heat of the moment. Both speed and pulsation patterns are controlled by one old school Nintendo-esq plus sign button. It seems simple when you read the instruction book or when you’re checking it out, but when you get in the heat of the moment and things get all lubed up, it’s a little too easy to push the wrong button. However, this is the only vibe I have where I can control the intensity of each pulse pattern, so I am leaning towards forgiving Lelo for this one oversight.
I have high expectations of Lelo products, and the Iris did very little to let me down. It’s not cheap, but it’s definitely in a different league when compared to other vibes I own.
I would say that I am a pretty sexually adventurous person. I like to try new things. Even if I’m not sure what the outcome will be, I’m usually pretty game to at least give it one wholehearted go. So when I was asked to pick out a sex toy to review from an entire website of products, I jumped at the chance to try something totally different than anything I already had. I’m a little on the fence with this toy, mostly because I really want to like these. It’s not that I don’t, I guess they just aren’t what I expected.

I think that the mycero finger vibes are a brilliant concept and wouldn’t warn people about buying them because I think they could be great for some. They just didn’t meet the expectations I had set before owning them.
When it comes to harness and dildo package deals, they’re often hit or miss. You either get a great combo from a thoughtful company, or a cock and harness thrown together for the sake of sales. The Lover’s Super Strap Harness and Silicone Thruster is an interesting combo because while I really liked each separate piece, they didn’t blow my mind when combined.
The silicone dildo is pretty good, but I was a little disappointed in the g-spot stimulation it boasted about and I personally prefer a little more size. While it didn’t provide a mind-blowing experience when strapped on, I did put it to good use on a solo run. With the Thruster in one hand and a trusty vibe in the other, I was a very happy girl.
I would say that the harness is well worth the money spent in this case. It’s really comfortable, the O-ring can be changed to accommodate different toys, and the straps are easily adjusted up to 60 inches.
