Happy Humpday!  Welcome back to the mid-week stretch.  It’s been a busy week so far, with no signs of letting up (it is gonna be a crazy spring around here), so sorry this Link Lovin’ is coming a little late in the day.  I’ve been a busy beaver all day and finally I get to celebrate the awesomeness that is Humpday!  Let’s get to it!

- Our favorite mini octogenarian sex educator, the fabulous Dr. Ruth Westheimer has been named Washington D.C.’s Honorary Secretary of the Department of Love and Relationships!  Alright, fine, it’s just a marketing ploy to stimulate tourism in the capitol city.  Still, it would be pretty freaking awesome if it was real.  This country could seriously us it.

-  Real Dolls are getting a makeover!  The high-end love dolls are partnering up with Wicked Pictures to produce a line of realistic, fully articulated versions of Wicked’s contract stars, including Alektra  Blue and Jessica Drake.  I wonder if the dolls will start doing porn as well…  (via The Frisky) Read the rest of this entry »

Happy Humpday!  Welcome back to the midweek stretch.  To be perfectly honest, I’m finding it really hard to concentrate on writing a quick intro with that picture of Madison Young staring at me, so I’m going to stop fitting my urge to drool and just get to the link lovin’!

- The San Francisco Bay Gaurdian’s Sex Issue hit newstands (and the interweb) today with an awesome article about the local women of BDSM, with the above picture of Madison Young on the cover.  Wishing I lived in SF to get a print copy.

- Speaking of California, Belladonna is forming a team to walk in this year’s AIDS Walk Los Angeles on October 18.  As well, “Team Evil Angel” will have all of their proceeds matched by Evil Angel movie studio.  Recruiting walkers now!  Belladonna crush increased tenfold.

Happy Humpday!  Welcome back to the midweek stretch.  I’ve been out of commission for the last few days, felled by some nasty bug that confined me to my bed… a place I would usually love to be confined to, but not with a sore throat and the grossest cough you’ve ever heard.  Ok, back on track.  Today, my first day back, I logged into my email to find a bunch of emails from co-workers with links to all sorts of futuristic/sci-fi sex updates for link lovin’.  I have the best co-workers, don’t I?  Anyway, some of the stuff they sent me is awesome… and some of it downright scary (sex dolls with a pulse), but all totally worthy of a place on this week’s Humpday celebration.

Studio: Marie Madison Media Category: PLOT ORIENTED -> Humor

This time I had a little prior knowledge of the movie and absolutely pounced on the chance to review it – because it looked like absolute awesomeness!

“Regarding Jenny” is all about the plot and thank goodness - I’ve never really found sex with sextoys to be particularly fun to watch in a film. Don’t get me wrong, Jenny gets lots of lovin’ and there’s so many ‘sex’ scenes crammed into this movie (of all the porno groups, girl on girl, sex in the shower, blow jobs, etc.) but the since the main character is a real doll, the burden of creating interest in the movie falls squarely on the shoulders of the other performers to “perform.” Without them Jenny just wouldn’t come alive for the viewer. Thankfully everyone seems pretty dedicated to treating her like ‘one of the guys’ as it were.

This is probably the first porn-parody that I’ve really loved. Some say it reminds them of “Lars and the Real Girl,” but I think it more closely resembles “The Hills.” You see, Jenny moves to California to follow her dreams of becoming a model, but her douchy boyfriend convinces her to come back East and become a porn star instead. Thankfully I’m pretty sure that hasn’t happened on “The Hills,” yet anyway, but the general douche-bagary seems like a pretty common theme.

It’s Wednesday, do you know where your links are?  Right here! Hump day equals link love around these parts and while there are no crazy sex scandals or new celebrity sex tapes this week, we do have a few gems to toss out your way.

- Three years after the release of gay cowboy romance/drama Brokeback Mountain, the story’s writer Annie Proulx says the movie is still “the source of constant irritation in my private life,” because people keep sending her raunchier rewrites of the story.  Hilarious!  I’m sure she can dry her tears on the money and fame the movie brought her.
