A few weeks back, while we were out in Palm Springs at The Dinah, we stopped by DildoDr.com’s vender booth, just to say hello, check out the wares and do a little networking (as you do with other sex industry folks). While chatting with the company’s owner, we happened to mention that we do toy reviews on the site, just in case he’d be interested in getting in touch later down the line to talk about having us review stuff.
Without skipping a beat, the Dildo Dr. told us to take a look at all of the toys there and pick one each to take with us for review. Say what?!? We were shocked by this guy’s total generosity, but didn’t have to be told twice! After looking through the tables of beautiful glass toys, I finally settled on what I later found out was called Corn Art, an eight inch, amber colored dildo. Along with the toys, Dildo Dr. gave us awesome padded bags to protect our precious cargo in transit (and to keep safe once we got home). Seriously amazing.

So, I think you can see why this Pyrex dildo is called Corn Art. For those of you who can’t see images, the Corn Art dildo is an eight inch dildo that is basically shaped like a corn on the cob, complete with a knobby handle at the end. The shaft of the dildo has little bumps along it, which look exactly like the kernels you find on an actual ear of corn. The whole thing is a beautiful amber color, which isn’t corn-themed, but makes the whole piece look like a piece of art.
Measuring in at 1.75” wide, Corn Art is a pretty sizeable toy that fills the body nicely, especially because of the material it is made of. Unlike silicone or rubber, glass is a totally rigid material that has no give or spring to it, so even if a toy isn’t super wide, it still offers a filling feeling. The weightiness of the glass only adds to that feeling. Another plus of playing with a glass toy is that it only needs a drop of lube to keep it slippery for a long time.
While I loved a lot about this dildo, there were a few aspects that I wasn’t as excited about. The pointy shape of the toy, paired with the hard material didn’t work so well for me. There was something about the way the tip of the toy moved into the full width that felt uncomfortable in my body. I would have preferred a more gradual increase in size. As well, the kernels along the shaft didn’t add to my pleasure. That particular texture wasn’t working with my body structure, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work wonders for other people. Length and handle-wise, I have no complaints. They both were fabulous.
Though we’ve touched on it in pretty much every glass toy review, I just wanted to reiterate that the types of glass toys we are talking about are made of specific types of shatter-proof glass, such as Pyrex. I just want to make sure that no one thinks we are telling them that they should shove IKEA wine glasses up their holes. I mean really, those things break if you look at them funny.
All in all, this is one great toy to get corny with!

It’s mid January and I’m guessing people are already beginning to give up on their New Years Resolutions. I’m happy to announce that my resolution to be awesome is going strong. Here at HotMoviesForHer.com, we think there is no better goal for 2009 than to treat your body and soul right. For some that may mean taking more time to smell the roses, but for us it means more quality sexin’ with amazing toys that are good for our health and the big blue marble.
We talk about a lot about silicone on the site, and it’s a great material if you’re looking for a quality toy, but there are a few that are a little more unique and sure to rock your world. Three of my favorite toy materials that are good for your body and the earth are glass, aluminum and steel. Each has unique qualities that’ll I’ll discuss, but in the end you can’t go wrong with any of them.
Aluminum

Aluminum, the most abundant metal in the earth’s crust, is a great alternative option for your next purchase. It’s completely safe to play with and if you for some insane reason decide you don’t want an aluminum toy, it can be recycled! What a surprise for the dudes sifting through your cans.
Besides being a relatively green toy material, aluminum doesn’t contain any dangerous chemicals like jelly toys, so it’s good for your body. It’s also easy to clean, you can just wipe it down with soap and water or you throw it in on the top rack of the dishwasher without any soap.

Holy crap I love glass toys!
Mr. Squiggly is the most recent addition to my ever-expanding dildo collection and I have to say it’s right up there with the best of them. I could really never pick a favorite, but this is one that I’ll keep within arms reach.
This pyrex toy is designed to stimulate in a number of ways, which is great since variety is the spice of life. Both ends are insertable, and they’re different enough to experiment with both. The smaller end is more curved and I found it to be better for g-spot stim, but it is pretty small. The larger end provides a little more girth and a quicker route to the raised glass beads that I really like. When you combine all of Mr. Squiggly’s bumps and curves with the fact that glass is great for temperature play, you’ve got a toy with seemingly endless possibilities!
Pyrex is a really great material for a bunch of reasons. First, it’s really easy to sterilize because it’s a non-porous material. You can boil it for a few minutes or pop it on the top shelf of your dishwasher without any soap and you’re good to go. If you share your toys, it’s really important to make sure you sterilize them after use.
Another reason I personally love pyrex is because it retains temperature really well. If you put this wand in a bowl of hot or cold water before use, you’ll add another element to the mix.
Finally, Pyrex is really solid. If you’re never owned a glass toy, your might be a bit scared of the thought. However, pyrex is a really sturdy material that isn’t going to shatter like a drinking glass. It’s also a bit on the heavy side, which is nice.
The only negative thing I can think to say about Mr. Squiggly is that it is a bit on the small side. For me, this isn’t a problem, but if you’re all about girth, this may not be for you. Also, you should note that this glass wand should not be used for anal play because it does not have a flared base.
Mr. Squiggly is a bit expensive, but to be honest it’s relatively cheap for a Pyrex toy. If you’re looking for a dildo that looks as great as it feels, you should consider this gorgeous glass wand.

Now that I’ve added my first Pyrex dildo to my amazing toy collection and I have to say that I’m surprised I’ve lived this long without one.
After a test run with a cyberglass dildo, I decided that investing in a Pyrex toy would be well worth it. From what I know, the two materials are pretty similar – they’re both hard, non-porous and phthalate-free. You’ll have a lot of fun with either, but if you’re looking to make an investment that will give you years of great fun, Pyrex is the way to go because it is more durable. Pyrex is less likely to chip or shatter if you drop it in your porcelain tub. Cyberglass is a solid material that won’t break during use, but it is not as forgiving if it rolls off the nightstand.
My favorite thing about this Pyrex toy is how smooth it is. It feels amazing and when you add temperature play into the mix, you’re in for some amazing sensations. Glass also retains temperature really well, so if you stick it in a bowl of hot or cold water, you’ll add another exciting element to the mix.
One thing I really love about this particular pyrex toy is the texture. In contrast to the insane smoothness of the material, the bumps feel really great. The entire shaft is covered with them along with the top of the flared base above the handle. Speaking of the handle, it’s really great for control. I can imagine that a Pyrex toy could get really slippery fairly quickly if it became covered in lube. The handle really enabled me to have complete control over this dildo at all time – and I like being in control!
While I’m totally all about this toy, I have to admit that it was a little bizarre when the handle was used to rotate the toy. When it was rotated 360 degrees, it felt a little more weird than good – but that might very well be just me. I really like it when this toy was slightly twisted back and forth. Either way, you have a lot of control over this toy and I trust you’ll figure out what you like best.
The Bump Juicer pleases in a number of ways with its sizeable, grooved head and bumpy shaft. Overall, I really recommend Pyrex for anyone who’s looking for an amazing dildo that will last for years. It’s totally durable and easy to sterilize, plus the hottest toys I’ve seen are made of glass and your pussy deserves the best!
Add this toy to your collection!
