With a name like ‘Sexual Sushi,’ I wasn’t quite sure what to think. I saw that it was a Strawberry Seductress movie right off the bat, so I knew better than to expect some sort of racially charged Geisha porn, but other than that, my porno watching fate was in film maker Petra Joy’s hands. Lucky me. Petra Joy is nothing if not totally dedicated to creating erotic masterpieces that drip with sexy passion all the way down to the details. Making films for women and men that want something different than traditional porn is offering, Joy brings just that (joy, I mean) to her works and turns the heat up a notch to most definitely turn on anyone in a 10 mile radius. Clearly I think her movies are super, super hot.
The second scene’s burlesque vibe really caught my attention. There is just something about unexpected glittery nipple pasties that totally gets my grinning uncontrollably. Pair that with a sparkly heart-shaped merkin and I am totally sold. I really love that this movie has hetero partners using sex toys as a part of their play, instead of having the guys reaching straight for their dicks. It’s refreshing to see in boy/girl flicks. Not that the guys don’t get their fair share of fun – Sexual Sushi is all about penis/vag sex, as well as blow jobs galore. Everyone seems to be having fun and playing out their sensual fantasies, which really, is the point if it all, isn’t it?
While two was my favorite scene, the entire movie is wonderful. Joy’s use of music and lightning really make the experience. I love that you can hear the couples moaning and breathing over the music, but it never feels like too much is going on. Not having to deal with half cracked dialogue or plot is a nice change as well. Petra Joy just really knows how to make a quality, sexy erotica with one can’t-take-your-eyes-off scene after the other. This will not be the last time I watch this movie – I guarantee it.

Prizes include cash and a shot at the big screen during “Pornfilmfest” in Berlin, Oct. 22-25, 2009 for the top three finalists. As well, specially selected films will get the chance to be published on Petra Joy’s forthcoming compilation “Her Porn, Volume Two” as a special feature.

Joy strives to make artistic erotic films, and lucky for us she’s quite successful. From the opening scene that captures a playful group painting on each other, I knew that this was going to be unlike a lot of the movies I review. In fact, I like this one so much that I’m going to focus on one scene and plan on reviewing others in the future.
So, today I’m going to talk about scene three, because it is my favorite. This threesome features two packing sailors and a one very friendly flapper. One thing I love is that throughout the scene, the women never break character. This is very much the tale of two navy dudes hooking up with a sexy lady and fans of fucking with gender will love it. Watching our sailors smoking cigars and passing a bottle of booze back and forth while their lady services them on her knees is nothing short of spectacular. Soon enough, one sailor lies down so the flapper can eat her out while being taken from behind by the second strapped-on lady. Seriously, it’s so good…

With a title like Female Fantasies, how could I let this one pass me by? Especially after I read the description – that the scenes are based on erotic fantasies that the director’s (Petra Joy) female clients and friends sent to her. And that they are performed with real life lovers rather than porn professionals. How hot is that?! Well, the actual scenes are even hotter. The fantasies are all over the map, from a sensual orgy to one man jerking off in the shower. There is even one filmed entirely underwater. While each scene brought its own brand of hot, my favorite was the sixth, a playful kitchen romp between two ladies. I don’t know which part I enjoyed more, the naked woman baking and getting drippy batter all over her fingers, or the gender blending of the other woman, who was totally nude with shirt cuffs and a tie. I’ll admit that the whole trailing a single rose over her lover’s body was a bit cheesey for my tastes, but watching them feed each other berries and use a wooden spoon for spanking was definitely enough to make up for it. And enough to spur fantasies of my own.
