Today is my 2 year anniversary with HotMoviesForHer.com. Some days it feels like I’ve been working here forever (we just mesh well) and others seem like it’s only been a minute. I guess it’s true what they say about time flying when you are having fun. And fun is definitely what I’ve been having, peddling the girlie smut and bringing all I know about sexin’ to you ladies. I love my job and know that the pleasure side of sexuality is where I belong.

In celebration of my anniversary, I thought I’d write up some of my favorite HM4Her moments from the last two years. I know it’s a little self indulgent, but hey isn’t indulgence what porn is all about?

So, here goes nothin’!

- My very first sex tips column, Introducing J.D. – Your Newest Sexpert Extraordinaire! It was my first time really writing about sex for people on a larger scale. The beginning of something beautiful!

- Dinah Shore weekends 2008 & 2009. Sponosoring this massive lezzie event is not only an awesome way to help the lesbian community get to know us, it’s a fabulous way for us to really get to talk to tons of women about porn and what things they’d like to see on a porn site just for women. Watching Pat Benetar, Margaret Cho, the Idigo Girls, Lady Gaga and bunches of girls in binkinis is just a perk. Oh, that and hanging out with The Porn Librarian. It’s the only time of the year I get to see her face-to-face, so Palm Springs is extra fun!

- When we started offering Pink and White Productions flicks, including The Crashpad Series. I don’t think my desk will ever be the same after all that drooling… or my chair, to be honest.

- Oh hell, when we created the entire Queer Theater!

- Hanging out with Candida Royalle, Jayme Waxman and my own masturbation idol, Betty Dodson after the New York Sex Bloggers Calendar release party.

- Heading up to NYC with The Porn Librarian to chat about porn on The Diana Cage radio show. Then phoning our second time on the show in from my bed. Not as fun, but included way more pajamas.

- The entireness of the Feminist Porn Awards and meeting all the San Francisco queers. So. Much. Fun.

- Coming up with the best promo attire ever!

- Getting the chance to review some of the best sex toys ever! As well as some of the weirdest.

- When FrzKey joined our ranks! Yay!

- Finally watching The Devil In Miss Jones. After my mom told me about it.

- Meeting Joanna Angel at our giant 100,000 movies party. Also getting squirted on by Flower Tucci – though it was only my shoe.

- Checking out The Porn Saints work in person at the same party. Porn stars + art = awesome.

- Interviewing with Velvet Park Magazine about how much we love queer porn.

- Emailing with Morty Diamond… swoooon! To get the interview, of course, though in my mind it was so much more than 20 questions.

- My mom telling me that she loved and laughed so hard when she watched Joanna Angel reading for Heeb.

Alright, I could go on for days, so that will have to be the top of the top of my two years here at HotMoviesForHer. Thanks to all of you for reading and lovin’ porn enough for me to have a job as rad as this!

Last Friday I spent the day hanging out at the 8th Annual Philadelphia Trans-Health Conference and got my learn on about all the new medical and health info going on in the transgender community.  This conference is near and dear to my heart and I’ve been either attending or volunteering for a bunch of years.  This year I was lucky enough to not only go to learn, but to also preach the porno gospel and hand out free 30-minute cards for HotMoviesForHer.com. 

While I was super excited to pass out our cards and turn people on to great porno, I wasn’t quite sure how it would go over.  I mean, we are HotMoviesForHer.com, so what about all the people I wanted to talk to that don’t identify as her?  I certainly didn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable.  And the fact is that we have some of the most awesome female-to-male trans porn that’s on the market and more hot queer porn than you can shake a stick at! 

Well, turns out I just need to quiet my buzzing Virgo brain more often, because no one gives a crap about a name when you are giving them access to free hot porn.  We could be called BirdSharkFishButt.com and folks would still come a-running at the mere mention of hot queer humping.  That said, everyone that I spoke with was super excited about HotMoviesForHer and what we have to offer.  Maybe it’s because I’m such an awesome salesgal or maybe porn just sells itself (more likely), but I was out of cards by the time I left for the evening.  And had the promise of a few emails on their way asking me for movie suggestions.

I also spent the day going to a bunch of different workshops on all sorts of topics, including Queering Genderqueer (looking at the gender spectrum in a way that includes every identity and presentation of gender/androdgyny out there), creating positive and educational media images for the trans community, working with trans youth, and an awesome kinky sex and trans bodies presentation, which was super informative and definitely HOTTT!

At the end of the kink workshop they asked for annoucements and stuff like that, so of course I got up and let everyone know that I have a bunch of free porn minutes and to come see me.  Like I said above, I got to talk to a bunch of rad people about queer porn and the kinds of hot hot movies we have to offer.  That said, I wanted to make sure that all our readers/viewers know about all the amazing queer and trans porn we have on HotMoviesForHer.com!

One of my favorite trans porn studios ever is Morty Diamond Productions.  Though Diamond doesn’t have a ton of movies, the ones he has put out are intelligent, engaging and really freaking hot.  Check em out!

We also are lucky to have Trannywood Pictures, an amazing studio out of San Francisco.  Bois who like boys who like bois who like boys – all goin’ at it up and down the screen and takin’ cock wherever they can get it.  Fucking with gender and assumptions and lots of dicks all over the place, Trannywood is my kinda Trans Man Porn. Swooon.

We can’t forget to mention the rad folks over at Pink and White Productions (Crashpad!) that make all our genderfucking dreams come true.  Shine Louise Houston always brings the hottest queers to the screen and lets it them get down and dirty having real sex with real orgasms and real pleasure.  Plus, Crashpad has one of the best porns featuring a trans woman (male-to-female) I have ever seen.  Thanks Crashpad, for all the wank worthy movies and everything you do for the queer community!

And of course, there is Buck Angel, the man with a pussy.  While sometimes Buck gets flack in the trans community for his work, we here at HM4Her love Buck’s work and know that everyone gets a say in how they represent their body and how they choose to identify.  Check out Buck Angel’s amazingly sexy movies!

Ian Sparks is one of the guys responsible for bringing queer porn to another level. His film studio, Trannywood Pictures, creates award winning movies that feature male-identified folks in all points of transition having hot, hot sex with other male-identified guys. As well as super sexy, Trannywood movies makes sure to portray safe sex and responsible sexuality throughout their movies.  How hot is that!

Sparks has starred in both “Cubbyholes” and “Couch Surfers – Trans Men In Action” from Trannywood and works behind the scenes to bring us some really amazing queer porn.  Along with all the awesome porn goodness, Sparks’ passions include community organizing, cultural work, public health, butches, boys, genderqueers, cubs and queer activists of all genders. 1. How (and when) did you get started in the industry?
About 4 years ago, I became one of the owners of a gay safe sex club in San Francisco (EROS). We have a very community, mission focused model that includes a free community classroom, art gallery and a lounge that is available for all gender events. We wanted to expand our safe sex message and our focus on normalizing a variety of body types. So, when we decided to try our hand at doing a niche film, it was either going to be a bears of color movie, or a gay trans men film. A couple of our staff were in Morty Diamond‘s “Trannyfags” and we realized we had enough talent to go in that direction. That was around 2006. My own screen debut was in a Colt Studio film, called “Beyond Perfect” (2005)….I just had a non sex roll, but Mr. Pam was one of the camera operators and I got a lot of screen time.

2. If you weren’t in the adult industry, what would you be doing?
Working even harder at EROS. I’m currently the Chief Operations Officer and Community Relations guy, so there is always something to do. Before EROS though my dream job was as a program director at an academic women’s center, and I loved that.

3. What’s the best thing you’ve learned or best advice you’ve received from industry?
You can only work with actors who show up, and you can only edit what you have filmed. About a third to a half of the actors who confirmed for our first film, “Cubbyholes“, couldn’t show up for a number of reasons. So , for our second film “Couch Surfers” I made sure to have confirmed even more cast….and they all showed up. We were able to film both “Couch Surfers” and “Couch Surfers 2″ at that time. I like editing with just one camera having been used (its easiest of course), but its nice having those extra shots that a second camera captures.

4. What’s the funniest thing that’s happened while filming?
Since we tend to film at EROS, we’ve had a couple of scenes end fast as the opening staff person came rushing into the building. “Cubbyholes” also has quite a few authentic San Francisco sound effects, such as the historic F line street car rumbling by on Market Street.

5. What do you think is the biggest misconception about women in the industry?
That women have no real interest being in front of the camera or behind it, that some how they are just doing it for the money or are being forced. Our films are trans and non trans men, but we’ve received a number of model surveys from all types of women who want to support what we are doing. My biggest mentors and supporters are the women who lead the way in the San Francisco Indy Queer Porn community (Shine Louis Houston, Madison Young, Courtney Trouble, etc).

6. What did you do today?
Today I staffed the front desk for EROS’s day spa and learned our new security system. We had two break ins in April and all our computers and back up drives were stolen. We think we have various working copies of scenes for “Couch Surfers 2,” but won’t really know ’til we get new computers and software.

7. What would you rather have done today?
Edited porn, or be out relaxing at Dolores Park.

8. If you could do a movie with anyone (living or brought back from the dead) who would it be?
I still hope to be part of a scene with Syd Blakovich from Pink & White and the Crash Pad Series. I don’t know what that would look like, but I have some ideas.

9. Who is your favorite adult performer?
I love Damien Crosse, now with Titan, and Steve Cruz at Raging Stallion. Syd, Jiz Lee and Dallas (from Crash Pad Series) are some of my favorite people in general. Brett McCloskey (from Trannywood) is my boyfriend and lights up the screen as does Dex Hardlove…guess it’s not fair just to rattle off everyone at Trannywood and Crash Pad, lol.

10. You’ve got 20 bucks left to your name; what would you do with it?
In the past, I’ve generally given $5 or $10 to a friend who needed it more and then just bought lots of peanut butter with the rest. I just assumed I’d find bread.

11. If you were president, what’s the first thing you’d change?
I’d lobby congress for the elimination of all marriage benefits. I don’t understand why queer are seeking the same benefits as straight married people instead of fighting for the rights of single people.

12. What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done?
I’m embarrassed all the time, as my red cheeks will testify. But you’ll be hard pressed to shame me.

13. Which is your favorite project that you’ve worked on?
I shot the behind the scenes footage for “Trannywood Gone Wild”, a project that we haven’t even attempted to edit yet.

14. If you could have 1 superpower what would it be?
At first, I thought speed like “The Flash” but I’d miss the scenery. I think, I’d say super strength.

15. Meat or veggie?
Omnivore.

16. What is your favorite book?
Tales of the City.

17. What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who flake.

18. What is your best piece of sex advice for women?
Find your favorite lube . For guys, I say find your favorite condom and lube.

19. What is your favorite adult movie?
The Crash Pad Series Vol. 3 and Jock Itch.

20. Tell me one thing you’ve never told anyone else.
I’m a “West Wing” nut… but, everyone on my Twitter knows that.

I love porn. Duh, right? Of course I love watching hot sex on screen, but when it comes to porn, sometimes there’s so much more to love than just what’s on the surface. I feel like it’s been a while since I talked about Morty Diamond here on HMFH – and that is totally unacceptable in my book.  Not only is he one of the raddest porn directors out there, Morty Diamond is amazingly smart and engaging and turning the trans/queer porn genre upside down with his thoughtfully sexy and wildly arousing movies.  Check out his awesome videos here.

But the real reason I’m thinking of Morty Diamond is a video that he just posted this weekend called Tranny Triptych, which features him and Glenn Marla – who, from what I can tell from his myspace, seems to be a fabulous performer in NYC (and apparently friends with people I know in Philly – weird!) - talking about navigating being trans and how they relate to their bodies.  I’m not sure if this video was for something in particular, but it is awesome and totally worth watching.

The first time I saw this Morty Diamond Productions queer boi romp was at a hipster art gallery in Philly a couple of years ago. 1. How (and when) did you get started in the industry?

I got started making porn in 2003 when I was unhappy with the amount of erotic movies showing transgender sex in a positive and sexy way. I had a few thousand dollars I had saved up for a trip to Europe but decided instead to shoot a porn!

2. If you weren’t in the adult industry, what would you be doing?

I do a lot of other things other than make porn. I am a performance artist and a writer as well.

3. What’s the best thing you’ve learned or best advice you’ve received from the industry?

One of the best pieces of advice I gave myself when I started making porn is the simple “do what you love” mantra. I’m trans and I love trans people and I wouldn’t be making any other porn because my heart wouldn’t be in it.

4. What’s the funniest thing that’s happened while filming?

So many funny things happen on set when you have naked people fucking and you’re trying to film it! One funny experience I had was the time I was shooting TrannyFags and I wanted to shoot inside this place called “The Spas” in San Francisco, a place where you can rent out a private room with a big hot tub and sauna by the hour.

So I had to cover up all of the film equipment and make it look like it was clothes in duffle bags, went to the counter and was like “Me and my business partners would like to rent a room.” Hilarious! I kept freaking that someone would knock on the door and find me trying to rig up my lights and my camera and call the cops.

5. What do you think is the biggest misconception about trans folks and trans identity in the industry?

That there is a particular “trans body.” Transgender people have a myriad of body types, some choose hormones and surgery and some do not. I wish more people would understand that you do not have to “graduate” to a trans body by altering it somehow.

6. What did you do today?

It’s the beginning of my day. I ate cereal and two kiwis, had some mint tea and sat down to write these answers.

7. What would you rather have done today?

Well, I would rather be walking around Central Park, it’s a rare sunny day out, but instead I am headed to my job (no I don’t make enough money making porn, believe it).

Without a doubt Carson McCullers’ “The Heart Is A Lonley Hunter.”

17. What is your biggest pet peeve?

In myself: laziness. In others: when young people don’t give up their seat on the train for old people.

18. What is your best piece of sex advice for women?

Breathe, relax and talk about what it is you want, that’s ubiquitous for all people. Also, fire up your imagination, there is a whole new sex life waiting in the far reaches of your mind.

19. What is your favorite adult movie?
