Happy Friday! While we usually celebrate this segue into the weekend with a pop music pick me up, this week we decided to pay tribute to the one and only Davy Jones, who passed away on Wednesday. Not only was he a talented actor and singer, Davy was definitely many of our first crushes. So to send him off in style, shake a tail feather to this awesome Monkees classic.

Rest in Peace, Davy. We are definitely believers.

Happy Friday!! I don’t know about you all, but this week has felt extra long for me and I am super excited that it’s Friday. We haven’t done a Mixtape Rewind in a minute, so I thought a resurrection would be the perfect way to kick off this weekend and get us all shakin’ it a little in our seats.

Happy Friday, for real! Today has been a fabulous day and on top of it all J.D. took it upon herself to walk down to the coffee shop and bring us back tastey beverages and treats! I freakin’ heart the crap out of her. She sure knew how to make a good day even better. Anywho, let’s talk about Mixtape Rewind. I’m giving you a little Mayer Hawthorne on this fine afternoon. His music is so easy easy to listen to that it actually makes my ears dance on my head. Yep.

Happy Friday! Even with it being shortened by one day, this week seemed to go as slow as molasses. But we are officially nearing its end, so let’s get our chair dancing on! So, this mixtape song is just that, a song – the only “video” I could find on the internet was just an album cover with the music behind it. But no worries! Who needs a video when the song is so freaking cute it makes you bounce around anyway? Oh, They Might Be Giants, I’m so glad I’ve been a fan for nearly 20 years.
