Back when I was a HotMoviesForHer newbie, oh so many years ago, the very first toy I ever reviewed for the site was a vibrator disguised as a makeup compact.  Since then, I’ve written about toys than range from totally unassuming to majorly obvious sex toys (check back here next week for a big one!), but no other obvious look-a-likes.  Today I am going full circle and adding to the makeup case sex toy collection with Love Lipstick Vibe, a pocket-sized vibrator that doubles as a completely undetected tube of lipstick.  Those crafty toy manufacturers!

The Love Lipstick Vibe is a one speed, clit stimulator with a powerful motor and just enough digression for even the most embarrassed lady to bring along in her purse.  Looks-wise, this toy is totally a lipstick case when it’s got the cover on, and only lets on it may be something different if you actually take off the lid and touch the “lipstick” part, which is made of hard plastic.

The vibe works just as a real lipstick would, starting the action when you hold it by the shaft and twist the bottom half.  The bright pink “lipstick” comes up and holds the heft of the vibrations.  The whole thing buzzes, but this nub is definitely designed to press against your own nub, or wherever else you prefer!

I will say that I was quite surprised on two accounts.  First, this little vibe is super silent.  I could barely hear it when I had it on 2 feet from my ear, and across the room it’s not even a whisper.  This would really be a perfect toy for folks with roommates or the desire to bring their ‘makeup’ into the bathroom for a ‘touch up’ during a fancy dinner out on the town.  And if you are going to all the trouble to make this toy as innocuous as possible, it only makes sense to have it be stealth and under-the-radar noise-wise as well.

Secondly, I was impressed by the power this little bugger let loose.  I’m used to small vibes packing minimal punch and this one definitely surpassed my expectations.  Sure, it’s no Hitachi Magic Wand, but for a small vibrator run on one AAA battery, it’s not too shabby.  I don’t usually get off with one speed toys, since I need to kick into high gear as it get close, so I wasn’t able to ride this pony all the way home, but it got me to where I needed to go enough for me to sprint to the finish line on my own.

Packaging… well, it’s not covered in half naked women with big boobs leering from the box.  This vibe actually comes in a hard plastic bright pink heart.  I shit you not.  It’s a little dated feeling with a neon pink lightning bolt front and center on the heart, but I appreciate it in a cheesy way and I am willing to deal with it.

If you lift the molded portion that the vibrator snugly rests, below there is an instruction booklet, battery (yay coming with batteries!) and a small velvety pouch to carry your lipstick in.  Great idea, lousy execution.  Trying to put a matte plastic case into a velvety bag is basically putting a wet foot into a dry sock – friiiiiiiction than makes super difficult.  Not that it has any bearing on the toy, but I just had to mention it.

All in all, the Love Lipstick Vibe is a decent vibrator that does just the right job if you want digression and a little secret stashed in your purse.

I have a new best friend – and her name is MiMi! Now, I’ve been reviewing toys for a while, and when I get excited about one enough to call it my BFF, you know it’s a total winner. It take a lot to impress me, and within the first few minutes of testing her out, I knew MiMi was the one!
About the size of one of those portable computer mice (I guess that’s the plural for computer mouse…), this amazingly sleek silicone clitoral vibe is not only waterproof and rechargeable, she features five vibrations speeds – the strongest of which will seriously blow your mind! Along with those five speeds, MiMi also rocks five pulsating patterns, and everything is a quiet a field mouse (see, I brought it back to the mouses!). It’s true, this little buddy is so super quiet even on the fastest buzz speed.
Speaking of that fastest buzz speed, holy crap! I thought this vibe was going strong at three clicks in, but lo and behold, the thing still goes up two more notches! I was shocked to be feeling close to hitachi power coming out of this itty bitty little 3 ½” x 2” pink oval! Crazy and amazing!

Another fabulous feature of this great vibe is the buttons. Offering up two buttons – one a plus sign and one a minus sign – MiMi makes it totally easy to find the right speed/pattern for you, without having to run through the whole list to make it happen. That makes me seriously happy. Plus the buttons aren’t so freakishly sensitive that you will accidently brush against it and change everything up without wanting to.

Oh and the buttons are the magnetic contact for the power cord, making it a total cinch to recharge. Added bonus with the cord – it matches the color of the vibe, which means I can easily figure out which you it goes to when it’s in a pile of sex toy power cords, which I unfortunately have in a basket by my bed.

Part of the whole slew of new luxury vibes coming out, MiMi is delivered to you in a beautiful black box complete with satin ribbons tying it shut. That alone made me feel like a total lady, which I loved. Seriously, packaging makes all the difference sometimes, and this little baby has class in spades!

After a horrible breakup during which my not-so-significant other actually took a vibrator that was supposed to be a present for me back, I felt the need for a replacement. I scoured the pages looking for the same cheap and powerful little vibe I’d fallen in love with at an out of the way sextoy shop in Bumfuck, PA, but unfortunately didn’t have any luck recognizing it among the hoards. So I changed tactics and looked for a vibe about the same size and price range with the same features, and found Little Honey.

Little Honey was apparently a perfect match to my requirements and it even came with a cute clit tingling accessory! Color me overly pleased with myself at finding a replacement with fringe benefits, heck it’s even pink and once you turn it on there’s an LED light inside that changes the vibes colors!  Total upgrade!

The Jolie mini-vibe from Natural Contours is as simple as they come. Depending on what you’re looking for, this can be a really good thing or a reason to move on and look for something else. Personally, I think every woman should own a small clit vibe and this one is good and totally affordable.

This plastic vibe is only four inches long and runs on a single AA battery. In spite of that, it manages to offer a pretty strong buzz that’s good for getting off quickly or pushing you over the edge when you’re getting down and dirty with a good friend. The tip’s smooth end is pretty flat and makes it really easy to focus in on your clit and go to town. Unfortunately, it only has one speed, but at least it’s pretty powerful!

In planning an exotic weekend rendezvous with my honey, I threw the Babeland Body Kit into my overnight bag. The beautiful hotel we chose had one of those deep bathtubs, which made a perfect romantic setting to test out our kit- which was full of so many options of desire.
