I am excited to say that I had my first experience playing with a massage candle. I’ll spare you the fluffy intro and get down to brass tacks.
Inside of the 2 ounce tin lives the tiny Ignite Me Massage Candle from Good Vibration candle made from soy wax, soybean oil, coconut oil, shea butter and fragrance oil. It gave off a gentle scent that didn’t make me sneeze nor was I able to taste it at the back of my throat. I was a little worried about this when I saw fragrance oil in the ingredient list! This pleased me. I’m not sure whether or not it smelled like morning dew (its self proclaimed scent), but it had a fresh clean aroma. I lit the candle and left it in my bathroom for about 30 minutes to get the oils flowing, and to see if the scent would fill the small space. When I returned, there wasn’t much of a smell in the bathroom at all. I suppose this was good news for my tear ducks (strong scents tend to sting my eyeballs), but I was hoping to walk in to a yummy smelling bathroom. This wasn’t a big deal, though.
After the 30 minute waiting period, there was a clean burning candle and a small pool of oil. There was enough oil to massage my entire forearm. I poured it into my hand and massaged it into my skin. It was hot of course, but totally tolerable. It felt nice on my skin, creating a nice smooth surface for massage. It wasn’t super greasy like baby oil or other regular massage oils, but I have nothing to compare it to in the way of candles.
The Ignite Me left skin feeling quite soft and moisturized. I left it on my skin and it pretty much absorbed in about an hour or 2. The faintest hint of “morning dew” scent was left behind, which was nice. I can’t really say if there is enough goo in this small candle tin to give a full body massage, but there is definitely more than enough for a decent back massage.
I don’t want to make a bigger deal than necessary, but I definitely plan on handing this thing to my boyfriend to use up on my tired muscles. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a basic massage candle without an offensive perfumey smell.

My first thought when I saw the Fancy Me Kit was, ‘oooh self indulgence how I love thee,’ my second thought was ‘I’m not loving the feathers.’ Packaging counts for a lot with me – a really pretty toy that’s nicely wrapped will push my impulse-buy button like no one’s business. On the other hand, a less than adorable toy in sub-stellar packaging makes me hesitant to touch it at all, let alone take it home and do nasty things to it.
Next thing I noticed about the kit, maybe it was all that vanilla scented stuff in such a small container but the whole thing smelled really, really strongly. Usually I’m all for something to make the office smell a little bit better but that little bundle smelled so strongly I ended up having to put it in a drawer till I could take it home. It was much more appreciated in my living room combating stinky litter box odors later on though.
By the time I took my kit to the bath with me, I was really ready to love this little package. It hadn’t had a fair shake up till now and I was eager to get the notions and potions out and to the test; more than ready to hop into my tub with a long vanilla bubble bath and let all those negative points just melt away in the heat. I went to pour my bubble bath, upended the bottle over the tub and nothing came out – each tiny little none internal use bottle had a little seal over the mouth. Not the punch through aluminum ones, but the tough as nails paper and plastic ones and not a single one of those seals had a little easy pull tab so I had to sit down and scrabble around the tiny lip of each bottle to get to the bubble bath, oil and lotion. I’ve been kind of in love with the concept of Honey Dust since I first heard about a similar tasty powder found on the body of a victim on the crime drama “Bones.” Yeah I know – dead people, not sexy, but the concept of sweet tasting body powder totally had me intrigued. I’m not usually one for food in my bed, or on my body; all I think about is the sticky mess someone’s going to have to clean up and it damned well won’t be me! But I figured I could totally handle a light dusting of sweet powder, and I’ve always wanted to try out some of Kama Sutra’s products too – with a name like “Kama Sutra” it had better be good!

All that added up to me being super jazzed when my Kama Sutra Love Essentials Kit arrived in the mail. In the interest of sharing the joy, I opened it up right in the office so everyone could admire my new toys and the packaging. Everything was nestled neatly into this little cardboard box with a kind of dark jungle motive on it. Of course I grabbed the feather duster first and gave myself a little experimental pat. Nice, but I didn’t see it as a powder applicator – way too sparse at the tip and too compact at the bottom. Read the rest of this entry »

Sexy kits are awesome for getting everything you need in one perfectly packaged box. If it’s elegance, class and an evening full of erotic fun you want, look no further than The Intimacy Love Kit from Booty Parlor! Housed in a beautiful box decorated with swirly pink accents, a satin pull and a magnetic clasp, this exciting kit was just as much a visual treat to get in the mail!
You open the box to find two bottles – one containing a water based lubricant and the other a massage oil, clasped to the top. In the open bottom drawer are two condoms and a little peach-colored disposable vibrating cock ring.
Down to the nitty gritty – I started out with the oil (foreplay, gotta love it) and really liked it from the opening. It had a mild spicy kick to it that created a nice warm scent. The oil was light on my skin, but had a good spread to it allowing lots of massaging per application. Read the rest of this entry »

I always expect good things from Jimmy Jane and the Ember candle did not disappoint. Besides looking totally classy, it’s really great for a long sensuous massage. Mine smells like Ginger & Date, which is not something I could have imagined, but really enjoy.

The Ember arrived in a nice black box, which is pretty standard for Jimmy Jane products, and would be a great gift. As you can tell from the picture, it’s really simple and should fit into just about any decorating scheme easily. One thing I really appreciate about the design is the fact that they included a pour spout in one corner. It’s not super obvious, but it is definitely helpful in keeping wax off of the sheets.
So, the basic idea here is that you light the candle for a short period of time, blow it out and then use the wax for a massage. If you use it this way, I’m pretty sure it will last forever. The candle melts into a nice oil and you really don’t need a lot of it for a nice long massage. I love that it doesn’t leave a sticky residue that makes you stick to the sheets. It rubs in nicely and leaves the skin feeling nice and soft!
For those of you with sensitive skin, you’ll be happy to know the list of ingredients includes a number of things I recognize and approve of like jojoba, shea butter, vitamin E, soy, and aloe. No wonder my skin seems to love this stuff! Soy candles also burn cleaner and at a lower temperature than paraffin, so they are safer for you and the earth!
The Ember is a really nice candle that’s perfect for massage. It is a little pricey compared to many, but if you consider how long it’ll last and quality, it’s a good investment if you can swing it!

Every now and again it’s great to take a break from the wham-bam sex toy reviews and check out something a bit more intimate and sensual. So I was pretty eager to try out the new Massage balm by Intimate Organics. Ready for an adventure, I picked the Energizing Fresh Oranges and Wild Ginger flavor and went to town – literally.
The first time I got a chance to try this Massage Balm, I was running late out the door for a day that would include meeting my boyfriend’s mother and I forgot to put lotion on in my haste getting dressed. With a four alarm ashy knees crisis on my hands, I reached for the nearest moisturizer, which just happened to be this massage balm. Straight out of its tube the massage balm looks more like a homemade ointment rather than a lotion or its fancy expensive counterpart, a balm. It starts out translucent and relatively solid but quickly melts, faster than any ointment or lotion I’ve seen before, when you rub it between your palms. It’s also heftier on the palm than your average massage oil, staying put rather than running between your fingers and onto the bed, floor or your partner.

In planning an exotic weekend rendezvous with my honey, I threw the Babeland Body Kit into my overnight bag. The beautiful hotel we chose had one of those deep bathtubs, which made a perfect romantic setting to test out our kit- which was full of so many options of desire. I melted the Bath Fizzy in extra hot water, turning the bath into a purple bubble oasis. On the tile near the tub, I lit the aromatic Massage Candle. If you are a non-smoker such as myself, you often show up with a candle and no way to light it. Babeland has thought this through for you and matches are included! The aroma of the candle lingered through the bathroom allowing for all olfactory senses to wander to far away places.
From the tub we went directly to the bed and took turns using oils on each other. I was the recipient of the Massage Oil on my back. I also had the wax dripped onto my ass from the candle we had fired up by the tub. I used the Lickable Oil on him. I poured drops onto his nipples and spent a long time licking it off. I also poured some onto his cock and had a wonderful time devouring it. I wasn’t concerned about the eventual sex we would have and this lickable oil going inside me, because Babeland also included condoms! Sweet!!

I’m the old, married lady of the Hm4Her family, so I end up reviewing a lot of the more intimate products while my co-workers are out having hot sex all over the city. Not that I mind, especially when I get a great product like Good Clean Love’s All Natural Love Oil.
I’m a big fan of massage oils, mostly because I’m a huge fan of being massaged, and this brand is my new favorite for a couple of reasons. The most important is that it is an all-natural product. While a lot of products (including 7-up) are now marketing themselves as “all-natural,” this is actually a good product from a thoughtful company. For those of you who avoid animal products, you’ll be excited to hear that this is 100% vegan. It’s also paraben-free and all made without any petro-chemicals.
While all of those things sound great, what’s really important is that this is a good product. This kit includes three one ounce sample bottles, so you get to check out all three available scents. I liked all of them, but my favorite was Origins, which is pretty earthy and really subtle. This oil is great for massages, but doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky. Nothing will ruin a relaxing massage quicker than realizing you’re stuck to the sheets.
This is also a great moisturizer. I’ve started using it after showers – it leaves my skin looking and feeling great. The fact that my girlfriend loves the light scent and has started burying her face in my neck more often, is another reason I’m all about this oil.
Overall, this is a great product that encourages closeness and allows me to pamper myself on those days when I need it! It’s definitely worth checking out.
