Today I was feeling the call of the classics so I wandered over to our library of awesome old movies and started scrabbling around for something great. Distraction after distraction popped into my path but once I read the description for “Resurrection of Eve” I knew I had to see it. Head trauma, sleazy husbands and the lure of Marilyn Chambers aside, these simple words hooked me “for its attention to the actor’s dramatic performances” and I do love me a good plot with my sex!
Well they don’t waste any time getting to the icky bits now did they? First scene, a young Eve meets an “old friend” of her father’s, his job in the plot – creep out the viewers and establish young Eve’s age (13). A lot of these old movies seem to have an ‘underage’ scene in them that’s at least a little gag inducing but be full warned this scene is way worse than a little gag worthy. At least Eve’s mother ended it by beating the SOB up and trying to comfort her daughter.
After that, I’d like to say things get better and in some ways it does Eve meets Frank who quickly seduces her though he constantly worries about marrying a ‘stuck up broad’ which Eve supposedly is. She’s also loyal, loving and not at all shy about wanting to have sex with Frank, but he worries she’s actually sleeping with black men anyway and accuses of her of doing just that. Eve runs out and gets into a horribly disfiguring car accident. When they put her back together again, she’s a blond (and apparently way more beautiful than ever before, yes they make special mention of just how hot she is now as opposed to before) Frank almost immediately proposes.
After the wedding, Frank realizes he can’t ‘date’ anymore because no single woman wants to date a married man. So Frank decides that swinging is the way to get to have his cake and eat it too. Eve doesn’t want to at first but agrees to go to a party, where Frank fucks someone else’s wife but Eve fucks no one. Afterwards Frank berates her for not fucking someone else as a courtesy! No I’m not kidding.
It goes on, Frank continues to push and Eve relents, eventually fucking other guys and learning to like screwing strangers and friends more than she likes sleeping with her self-centered husband, eventually leaving him mid party after his original fears are realized while he watches from across the room. The entire film features more insight into Frank’s reasoning and desire than into Eve’s, she might be the one having the “resurrection” but the movie could as easily be titled “All About Frank.”
This film has one other major failing – a large part of the sex. It’s so modest it could be a bunch of modern “Skinimax” type titles. You do get the occasional shot of bush or an erect cock but men are pressed tightly to women so you don’t see any of their naked torsos. The occasional shots of brief oral, one or two insertions (from a safe distance and just the right angle so you don’t see much) lots of kissing, that’s about it and less obviously scorching hot than watching “True Blood.” Example: the most climatic sex scene of the movie is told in flashes of bongo drums, the moaning face of Marilyn, and choppy shots of other people having sex.
This review is getting pretty long and it’s probably because I really wanted to like this movie, to find something redeeming I could recommend. Unfortunately the more I watched the less I had to recommend it as a porn or even a film. It’s watchable, kind of engrossing (in a Liftetime train wreck way, without an uplifting ending) but it’s so full of ick I can’t even begin to figure out where to start. A plot that’s supposed to be about a female character that offers more insight into the male lead’s motivation than her own. The concept that a woman who experienced sexual abuse at an early age needs to be forced into opening up sexually – by forcing her to have sex with other men that she has no desire for. Ick, just – ick.
I will give them this “Resurrection of Eve” was well acted. Pretty much across the board the acting was a definitely a step up from other porn features I’ve seen. But this movie will probably infuriate any woman that watches it unaware of how completely backwards it is.

It’s been a while since I first stumbled on “Insatiable,” long enough that I figured it was high time to see what Sandra Chase eventually got herself up to.
Right off the bat this “Insatiable 2″ feels different. Where the first started off with this great dream sequence and Sandra’s dream lover, this one starts off with a rather forced feeling sex scene where Sandra’s a little overly vocal.
Also I can already tell the production values for this one are much lower thanks to hideous floral wallpaper, chintzy looking furniture and overall less jaw-droppingly gorgeous fashion. By the time Sandra’s beau refuses Perrier in favor of coca cola poured straight out of a logo free giant two liter bottle, I know we’re not in Europe anymore.
Dialogue for this one really isn’t impressive, though I’ve got to give them props for having one characters daughter attempt to use a vibrator to “massage her face.” These young ladies immediately prove to be more skilled than that of course, quickly getting into a lack luster and thankfully short muff diving session. Marilyn Chamber’s vertical performance is as believable as ever, she really is one of the best adult actresses I’ve ever seen, though I found her sex scenes a lot harder to believe this time around thanks to all the dirty talk and thrashing.
There’s this great sex scene in front of the fireplace with Janey Robbins ,who must have been on the forefront of nipple piercing and shaved pussies and mandatory anal. This scene was made extra hot by the blond masturbating in the shower at the thought of the other two but by this point it was clear that the dirty talking vocals were probably a director request that just fell completely flat for me.
Plot wise, well I was left to wonder what exactly the plot of this one was, I had wondered what exactly was going on with the first but I got so caught up in it’s awesomeness that I just enjoyed the journey. Not so much with this sequel. I suppose I was also waiting for the second film to answer all the questions that the first one left me with but no dice.
Overall I’d have to say my reaction to this one was really mixed. The truth of it is, I loved the pomp and pageantry of the first as well as the in between sex acting skills but there was little to none of that in the second and though the sex itself wasn’t all bad I was left mostly confused and unsatisfied.

These days it’s not uncommon to look behind the porno camera and see a woman calling the shots. Be it writing, directing, producing, etc. – ladies are taking over behind the scenes and creating a whole array of awesome movies, set from a female point of view.
While this estrogen insurgence into the porno process shows itself more readily nowadays, it’s far from a new concept. Women have held their places in porn (in the clothing on portion) for years, starting in the “Golden Age of Porn” – that period of time in the ‘70s and ‘80s when porn was just entering the mainstream.
We always love talking about ladies that represent in porn, but there is a super special reason we’re bringing it to the forefront today.
We have releasing Cecil Howard’s Scoundrels, for a limited run until July 22nd! And along with being the very first movie to win AVN’s Best Film Award, Scoundrels was actually written by a woman – Anne Randall.

According to the June 1983 edition of AVN (only the sixth edition!):
Thanks to Anne Randall’s magnificent script, Scoundrels gives us three-dimensional characters that rarely find their way into adult plots. This family is sensitive and very normal in their feelings; the abnormalities come from the unstable setting. Scoundrels takes serious themes (the kinds that Taboo and Roommates tried to tackle) one step further, showing that its subject can be erotic and dangerous at the same time. … Scoundrels classifies as thinking man’s porn.
Pretty hot, right? It turns out Randall wrote and produced a whole host of Cecil Howard’s films during the 1980s, including Neon Nights and Dangerous Stuff, which are two amazing movies. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m feeling classical today. There’s some undeniable appeal about original features from way back when with single name titles like “Insatiable.” So let’s dive in and see if Marilyn Chambers can be sated or if her lust knows no bounds!
I’ll give it to “Insatiable” they really know how to knock out an intro scene. One steamy masturbation/fantasy scene later and we’re introduced to Flo and the famous Sandra Chase, the rich heiress who is about to embark on a rather debauched journey through the world of the entertainment industry.
I love these actresses! None of them make me wonder for a second if they’re under the legal age, and they put up pretty good performances in their considerable non sex scenes as well. The sets are super impressive and I even like the costuming, it’s so – fitting and normal. Everything is appropriate, no one comes out wearing a extra short skirt and ‘fuck me ‘ pumps even when the movie flashes back to Sandra’s first sexual experience (Sandra wears this floor length pink satin number that’s totally not your typical porn fare).
There’s this moment, while Sandra is zipping along the highway in her convertible and pulls over to pick up a hitchhiker; when Sandra pulls down her sunglasses and gave the erstwhile produce salesman the ‘look’ that was simply classic. What Sandra does to him in the shade of a few trees is both comic gold and a wonderful blowjob scene. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone suck a cock with that much genuine enthusiasm and skill in a long, long time.
What happened to pornos like this one? “Insatiable” was fun, rich and decadent like its setting and though it had its icky moments they were few and far between among it’s glitz, glamour and hot as hell hardcore action. “Insatiable” wasn’t just titillating it was fascinating to watch and I kind of hope there’s a sequel because now I’m hooked on the life of Sandra Chase and her horny bunch of friends and acquaintances.

Sometimes you just need a little sugar to really get you going. I, for one, have a total sweet tooth and when it comes to my favorites, candy and cake definitely top my list, right next to sex, obviously. But what about when you mix the two – sugar and sex, I mean. Is it all gumdrops and lollipops, or just a sticky mess? Take a look at this week’s top five tuesday picks and let us know if you think these sweet delights are more trick or treat. Read the rest of this entry »

Ever since I first heard of this movie (god knows how long ago that was), I’ve been dying to watch it. I mean really, how many porn movies have changed the entire industry and the way that the mainstream looks at porn in general? Not many. This 1972 Mitchell Brothers classic is a part of history. Even my mom has seen it – which means that it’s definitely a part of pop culture as much as a nudie movie. As well, whenever we do a 20 questions interview with a porn star, we ask their favorite adult movie and more often than not, it’s Behind the Green Door.
Though I had a vague idea of the plot before I started watching, I really wasn’t too sure what to expect. The basic gist of the movie is that a trucker is telling his friends a story of this woman, whom he had been flirting with earlier that day, being abducted and becoming the star attraction at an exclusive sex club – one that the guy coincidently ends up attending later in the evening. This woman (played by Marilyn Chambers) is pretty much fucked every which way but up, on stage, in front of an audience that becomes an orgy as the performance progresses. Today the HotMovies.com family made history by bringing one of the most legendary adult films ever made to the video-on-demand screen – Behind The Green Door.
Starring the recently deceased Marilyn Chambers, the 1972 Mitchell Brothers’ release instantly brought the world of adult into the limelight and created a whole new set of production standards for porn movies to come. Basically, Behind the Green Door was the catalyst for the porn industry as we know it.
Along with all it did for the adult industry, the mainstream loved it as well. Behind the Green Door was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, received positive critical reviews in the national media and was the second movie to be inducted into the X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) Hall of Fame.
As well as Behind The Green Door, HotMoviesForHer will be bringing four other classic Mitchell Brothers’ films to the internet, including Resurrection of Eve, The Grafenberg Spot, Autobiography of a Flea, and Behind the Green Door, the Sequel. These movies will be going live on the site once a week, for five weeks, beginning with this title.
We here at HM4Her are so excited to offer these groundbreaking classic movies to you guys. And let’s just say that I’m not exactly bummed that I get to watch them now either. Everyone wins!
So, sit back, relax and enjoy a little history lesson.
xoxo

Even though the media loves to tell me that women don’t watch or enjoy XXX, I feel 100 percent confident saying that lots of us do. Hell, I’ve even banked my retirement on the fact that ladies love porno! Of course, some ladies enjoy a good softcore movie, including me every once in a while, so I thought I’d highlight the best softcore films our site has to offer. If you’re looking for something a little more sensual to curl up on the couch and enjoy with a friend or your favorite vibe, be sure to check out these hot flicks.

For the last few weeks I’ve been doing stream of consciousness movie reviews that include all the weird comments I usually write down when I review and drop by the time the post is ready to publish for all to see. Last Thursday I asked you guys if it was something you thought should be a weekly addition to the site, and while I only got a few answers back, they were positive and excited about the quirky review style. So welcome to our new “Inside the Brain of a Porn Reviewer” Thursday post!
Let the fun begin!
This week’s movie:

Marilyn Chambers’ Naughty Fairy Tales
The Scene:

Scene 4
Basic Idea (so you know what’s going on):
Naughty fairy tales! This scene is Cinderella, which is awesome because it’s a great story – plus I don’t have to go into all the details of the plot, because you porobably already know it! Woohoo!
The Review:
- Marilyn Chambers hosts – sigh, it’s sad she’s dead. Love that fancy night gown though. Read the rest of this entry »

An autopsy has revealed that porn legend Marilyn Chambers, who was found dead in her trailer home last month at age 57, had died of natural causes (an aneurysm, to be specific).
The notable 1970s star made her way to the adult screen in 1972, with Behind the Green Door, one of the most famous porn movies of it’s time. Before getting dirty, Chambers was the queen of clean, with her picture gracing the side of the Ivory Snow soap box, which ended up causing quite the controversy when her pure image went porno. And we can’t forget the mention her political bid as the Person Choice Party’s candidate for the 2004 presidental election! As we said when we found out about her passing – Marilyn Chambers will be missed.
Read more about Marilyn Chambers and check out her movies.
