I’m very specific when it comes to my instructional porn.  I am a sex educator through and through, so I take educational porn very seriously.  I’m a huge fan of Tristan Taormino and Nina Hartley, which means I have the highest of standards for porn labeled as instructional.  Every once in a while I know I need to branch out from those favorites and see what else the sex ed porn has to offer.  This time it’s Kendo’s A Sexual Technique: With A Loving Touch, a gentle guide for better getting it on.

While, it’s a little different than the instructionals I am accustom to, this flick definitely gets the job done of increasing your knowledge while you watch hot folks go at it.  With other educational movies I’ve seen, there is usually a sit down and discuss section before getting busy, but this one just goes into the sexy action with a voiceover instead of conversation.

This movie gives more suggestions on how to add more sensuality to your relationship and a few instructions on how to perform sex acts, but not necessarily the detailed specifics that other educational movies, like Taormino’s and Hartley’s, though I am trying hard not to compare.

One thing that I really like about this film versus other instructional movies is that it is very erotic and sensual.  It really barely feels like an education movie, other than the voiceover, which is British and sounds kind of erotic itself.   This flick is definitely more passion and romance filled than different kinds of instructionals, and would probably be perfect for couples that are looking to foray into watching porn together, especially how-to porn.  The high quality and calming imagery are just a bonus of this awesome flick.

This erotic journey definitely gets two thumbs up from me!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Tristan Taormino is fucking amazing when it comes to giving concise, easy-to-use, sexy education.  Her how-do’s merge expert knowledge with fun and passion, creating fantastic movies that are so much more than just instructional porns.   The perfect mix of discussion, interviews and demonstrations, these guides are just the thing for couples who are excited to learn something new without being bored to sleep or left in the dust while the performers are doing acrobatic acts on screen.

This newest release, an advanced guide for sexing up the booty, really is the movie for Taormino to make.  As an expert on all things anal, Tristan brings her skills to the screen and gives us all the goods on getting it on butt-style in more advanced ways.  She really is the one person I would trust my ass with above anyone else.

As with all of Taormino’s other videos, this one features amazing sexy pairings.  Kylie Ireland with James Deen, Adrianna Nicole with Danny Wylde, Bobbi Starr with Mr. Marcus, and Nina Hartley with Christian – I seriously can’t decide which scene I enjoyed most!  Each of the duos are wonderfully matched and it’s super easy to see just how much chemistry is flowing between the performers.  Even if we didn’t have interviews with each of the performers telling us about how excited they are to be doing the scene, it would still be totally obvious.  They are all a joy to watch.

One of the greatest things about this advanced video is that though it is geared towards folks who are looking for beyond the basic 101 skills, Tristan still makes sure to touch on the important info on keeping safe.  Just because someone knows how to fuck a butt doesn’t mean that they can’t benefit from a quick refresher on going slowly and using a bunch of lube.  Also, I’m sure that there are tons of people that think they are advanced enough to skip Tristan Taormino’s Expert Guide To Anal Sex (though they really should be watching it) and head straight to this video.  For those people, I am so glad the basics make an appearance before getting into the more complex stuff.  Thanks Tristan.

I was looking through our movie reviews and realized that we hadn’t watched an instructional flick in a minute.  Being a sex educator myself, I just knew I couldn’t let this opportunity pass by without taking the time to get my schoolin’ on.  And who did I go to for this, you ask?  Why, the fabulous Nina Hartley, of course!  Rocking the educator role in more than 30 “Nina Hartley’s Guide To…” movies, Hartley is a totally authority on all things sexy.  This time I decided to go with a topic I know very little about – double penetration (DP).

As is with all Nina Hartley guides, this educational adventure started out with a nice, healthy dose of conversation and communication before any DP action was even mentioned.  Along with covering all of the how-to basics of where to put what and maneuvers to make that work, Hartley discusses all of the details of picking the right partners (both anatomically and emotionally), being in the right mindset, and so much more.

Man, oh man, have I been patiently awaiting this one!  I first heard about this amazing instructional a while back and was super excited, but once director Tristan Taormino posted pictures on her blog of Dylan Ryan and Mr. Marcus going at it (scene 5), I knew I had to get my eyes on the entire thing.  And let me just tell you – holy crap was it awesome!

Obviously I love porn, but I’ll also be the first to admit that there is an abundance of fake orgasms in the movies, which is definitely a boner-killer for me.  An orgasm is such so wholly erotic experience – both to have and to watch, and I feel totally cheated when someone fakes.  With all that laid out, I’m sure you can see how it would be even more exciting to me that from the very beginning, this Tristan Taormino movie talks about how amazing female orgasms are, and really goes into detail about the different types of orgasms and pleasure.

I know I say it every time I review one for her movies, but honesty, Tristan Taormino does such amazing work!  Whether you are looking at it from an education standpoint, or just as a totally hot porno, her movies are filled with chemistry, real passion and the kind of energy that comes with really enjoying yourself.  Taormino’s brand of sex education has you absorbing the info without even realizing it – or I should say, because you are too turned on to realize that you’ve just learned all this great information.  But it’s still there, even after the heat dies down in your pants.

I feel like it would be to my detriment to even try to pick a favorite scene in this video.  Seriously, all six scenes are packed with super hot sex and more real orgasms than you can shake a vibrator at!  From Katie St. Ives; surprise orgasm in scene 2, to Madison Young screaming in pleasure (scene 4), to Dylan Ryan squirting all over Mr. Marcus’ leg in scene 5 – it was all amazing.  How do you pick your favorite part when all of them have so much rich, amazing action?!  I guess you just have to watch the whole thing and see!

Note that if you are looking to turn it on, get off and get going, this is maybe not the movie you are looking for, as the sexin’ doesn’t even really begin to go down until about 40 minutes into the movie.  But, to quote scene six’s James Deen:  “Watching girls orgasm is so rad,”  so this may be the one to slow you down!  It totally lived up to my expectations and more!

I did a serious double take when I realized that we had never actually given this Jamye Waxman how-to guide a proper write up. Sure, we’ve wrote about it a few times here and there, but when it comes to the sexiest sex educators, we make sure that we check out their awesome instructionals and bring the real deal review to the masses.

And this time around we get Jamye Waxman giving us the low-down on getting down in 101 different positions, all shot on location at the Hedonism II resort in Jamaica. Before we even get into the movie, can I just tell you that when it’s only 20 degrees outside where you are, there is nothing nicer than watching folks fuck outside in the sunshine on outdoor beds. It’s all about living vicariously!

To sum up everything I am about to say in one sentence – this movie is really fucking awesome! Not a porno in the traditional sense, this 2011 AVN Award Nominee for Best Educational Release features couples fucking, but none of the climax, close-ups or hardcore moaning that we’ve come to expect with porn.

Instead of all that, we get three real couples demonstrating 101 various positions, all while Waxman gives us a play by play of how to get into the position, why it’s awesome, and how to modify it to help with issues like balance or being in one position for too long. Along with these great tips, we also get the aforementioned beautiful sex backdrops, as well as interviews with each of the demonstrating couples.

I also need to make sure to make the distinction that all of the sex featured in this video is penis-in-vagina intercourse, but just note that any of these positions can be done with a strap-on dick as well.

While some instructional flicks can be a little dry, movies touched by Jamye Waxman are anything but boring. She is smart, funny, and knows just how to keep the action super hot as she explains the details from start to finish. What an instructional porno gem! The conversations definitely round out the instructional experience, while the visuals keep the action nice and engaging.

I love that Dr. Queen takes a minute to discuss how male anatomy is homologous, or structurally corresponding, to female anatomy. I think it’s so important to point out that male and female genital structures start out the same when we are in the womb; and as they form and change, the tissue moves to different places, but it is the same tissue. Knowing that is helpful in figuring out the most sensitive parts of folks’ bits. I also love that Queen is quick to talk about phalluses and not just penises – the phallus being the clit, transman cock, etc. Basically – I just love Carol Queen.

While this movie may not be as porn-sexy as other instructionals I’ve seen, I definitely enjoyed the added conversations and totally recommend this flick to folks who want to bone up on their blowjobs!

When it comes to reviewing a movie I really love, sometimes it is hard to do anything but point and grin. That is about how I am feeling right now, as I try to put pen to paper (finger to keyboard?) and express just what I feel about this fabulous Dr. Carol Queen/Robert Morgan instructional butt romp.

As a sex educator myself, I spend a great deal of time figuring out exactly what information is important to fit into a limited time frame, and the best way to keep things fun, frisky and engaging. That said, I really can’t give higher praise to Bend Over Boyfriend for creating a truly sensual and educationally explorative experience for the viewers. Queen and Morgan (directed by the amazing Shar Rednour) bring a warm, informed presence to build an atmosphere of sex-positivity, as well as keep it hot enough to send sparks flying.

Bend Over Boyfriend, which I consider the seminal video of its subject (this is before Tristan Taormino brought her anal lovin’ to the educational screen), eases us viewers into the wonderful world of anal play and pleasure for men – focusing on men with female partners. Touching on all the important info, like lube, communication, toys and pace for the first half of this hour long movie, the flick naturally transitions into sexy activities and demonstration by the middle mark. Like I said, it’s difficult to find a good balance between educating and arousing, but these folks were right on the money.

One of my favorite aspects of this movie is that the educators and demonstrations are quick to show that there are many kinds of ways that pairs can have sex and communicate – from talking about various positions, to explaining more abstract things, like a woman with a strapped-on dildo feeling just as feminine as ever. The attention to detail and normalization of a fairly taboo act went a long way without ever seeming super process-y or preachy. That, to me, is the sign of a awesome educator.

All-in-all, this has been a movie I have loved for a long time and am ecstatically thrilled that we now get to share it with our viewers. So, whether you have an interest in boys, butts or even just bettering your knowledge base, definitely check this movie out!

Studio: Pleasure Ed Series Category: Instructional

Well, she has done it again. Along with being a world renowned sex educator, writer, activist, co-founder of The Center for Sex and Culture, and Good Vibrations Staff Sexologist, Dr. Carol Queen can now add awesome instructional porn filmmaker to her accomplished resume (while we do have her in one other movie, this is the first she is heading). The first of many Pleasure Ed Series videos, this how-to for licking pussy makes the taboo subject sexy and totally gives you all you’ll need to know next time you find yourself going south on your lady friend.

I’ve reviewed my fair share of instructional porn in my time as a professional perv and I can honestly say that this flick is one of the best how-to pornos I’ve ever seen! This movie is seriously up there with my other instructional favorites – including Nina Hartley and Tristan Taormino, which is no small feat, at least in my opinion. Queen does a wonderful job of teaching the viewer all this information, yet keeping it totally sexy and interesting. One great example of that is her use of a vulva puppet to explain anatomy instead of a chart. While the chart may be easier for some folks to learn from, I thought it was very welcoming and way less clinical to teach with a stuffed pussy!

Another major difference in this movie was that it included queer folks! That’s right – gal on gal cunnilingus was on display as well! It really made me feel as though the information was being directed at me, and not just me listening in on info for men. The movie also featured women and men of different ages and with varying bodies. And though I’ve seen people of all ages in porn and with every body type imaginable, it still makes me so happy when I find yet another sex-positive movie that exemplifies real bodies and real folks fucking.

And we can’t forget about the very visible safe sex demonstrations – with saran wrap, dental dam demos and black latex gloves – oh my! It was super sexy to see people demonstrating how to correctly use each barrier. I hope we see it more! What can I say, I may be a perv, but I’m a sex educator through and through.

Not only did this instructional movie blow my expectations out of the water, it got me extra excited to see what this new studio comes out with next! And I didn’t even START to talk about Madison Young’s scenes. One word: woah.

Happy New Year!  2010 is finally here and January is already in mid-swing.  By now most of us have vowed and failed at our New Year’s resolutions, creating a headache around the whole ordeal.  This year I’ve decided to forgo the resolution rush and take my time with deciding what works for me and how to really achieve maximum J.D. awesomeness.  So, twelve days into this new year, I’ve finally figured out what 2010 will mean to me and the top five things that I hope to get going in the months to come.  And stick or fail… at least I have my porno!
