Every once in a while I come across a movie that I swear up and down that I have reviewed… and then I can’t find the review anywhere. Of course, the reality is that no, I haven’t written a review about it – I’ve just watched it at home so many times that I know the movie intimately. That’s just the case with Dolores Park Studio’s Brunch Bunch. Not only have I watched this super hot queer flick a number of times, I actually have written about it, both for HotMoviesForHer and not, but never wrote a formal review. Well, here it is, friends, my official commentary on Brunch Bunch: Queerly SF (Disc 1).
Along with being from the makers of Trannywood Pictures, this debut from Dolores Park Studios is also directed by Trannywood alum Ian Sparks, which means it offers up the same deliciously queer sextravaganza that we are accustomed to enjoying. The basic premise of this flick brings a bunch of hot friends together for a lazy weekend brunch that ends up exactly like you’d expect a lazy brunch in San Francisco to end up – in a seriously sexy queer fuck fest that infiltrates every room in the house – including the kitchen. Man, I totally miss living there sometimes.
One of my favorite parts of this movie is that it includes new porno performers as well as folks that already know the ropes, like Syd Blakovich, James Darling and Drew Deveaux. Having those variations creates a dynamic that is really exciting to watch. I also really enjoyed watching trans-identified folks with a whole bunch of different bodies play together and experience pleasure in a ton of various ways. It’s always awesome to see folks get off in the ways that work best for them, as well as important for other people to see that there is no one way to use your body, no matter how you experience your body. While this may not have been made with a teachable moment in mind, this sexy educator just brought it there.
I’m not going to get into the details of each scene, for time’s sake, but just know that all four scenes are totally aces and definitely watch-worthy. If hot queer action is your thing, you’ve just hit the motherload. I can sum this whole movie up with just one word: Yum. I guess it does make sense, because brunch is the best meal of the week…
Watch “Brunch Bunch: Queerly SF” Now!

What do our favorite porn performers think about the industry? Inquiring minds want to know! Well, we asked and they answered! Welcome to our latest editor’s spotlight column, where we ask a bunch of stars the same question and see what kind of awesome answers grace our inbox.

And as we are going overboard with the holiday cheer, this month we asked:
What special holiday traditions are
you looking forward to the most?

“This is the first Christmas w/o my Dad, who died at age 95 1/2 this past January, so we’re looking forward to a large gathering on the 25th. The tradition is for baking Stollen, a German Christmas bread that we have at brunch. We make the dough the night before and let it rise overnight. Then we get up early and bake the loaves, to go along with the rest of the brunch: scrambled eggs w/mushrooms and herbs, fruit cup, hot chocolate and really good coffee. This year we’re expecting at least fifteen people for brunch, perhaps a few more, if a couple of cousins can make it. It’s going to be a very nice day.” – Nina Hartley
“Every Holiday season I enjoy ‘Peacock Lane’, which is a tour of house that have gone all out for the holiday season with decorations and lights. Plus every Christmas Eve, my chosen family and I get all dolled in an evening gown, enjoy an elegant dinner, and go to ‘The Nutcracker’. We end the night with opening one present and having egg nog cocktails or hot toddies.” – Sophia St. James
“Living in San Francisco, our holidays are in the Summer (Pride and Folsom Street Fair). A recent midwinter tradition, and it’s Santa focused, is going to Marlena’s bar in Hayes Valley, near Civic Center in SF. Marlena is one of the, how do you say this politely… senior Drag Queen’s in the area. She decorates the bar in December with countless Santa dolls and ornaments. And by countless, I mean it. The bar tender last week said they added 300 more this year and I have no idea where they can put more. But it always gets me in the Christmas spirit.” - Ian Sparks
“The annual Angel’s Christmas party for the kids in my pueblo in Mexico! This year we have 80 kids coming to the party. It makes me so happy to be able to give them something to remember every year. I am a very fortunate person and to be able to share and see the joy, well I cannot put in words. This year we have Santa, a clown and an elf. Happy Holidays to everyone and I hope the New Year brings you amazing happiness.” – Buck Angel

“Playing the Beatles Monopoly Game with some of my family. Instead of money, the banker deals Love; instead of properties, there are concerts; and the playing pieces are things like Maxwell’s Silver Hammer. When I play, I am the Walrus, coocoo ca choo!” – Jiz Lee
“Sweet potato curry latkes, Channukah stockings (filled by Channukah Goblins), decorating our holiday shrubbery and seeing a new movie on Christmas day while everyone else is opening presents!” - Shanna Katz

“The tradition I’m looking forward to most is simple: time set aside to visit my family. I can’t make any excuses because no one shoots porn on Christmas. I miss my family and really just want to spend some time with them.” – Danny Wylde
“I look forward to enjoying a quiet, reflective solstice and spending time with my family over Christmas.” – Tobi Hill-Meyer
“The special holiday traditions are I am looking forward to the most are spending time with my family, decorating, and most of all giving gifts. I try to be a thoughtful gift giver, and my favorite part of gift giving is watching the recipient open it. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and amazing 2012.” – April Flores
“Being with super fun cousins – lots of them! – for a couple of days…lots of laughter, great food, and all around silliness. What a great departure from all the stuff we have to deal with in our regular work-a-day lives!” – Candida Royalle

And to bring it home:
“My partner and I just moved in together and we are excited to create a whole new set of holiday traditions just for us, including the most important of all – Christmas Sex, complete with x-mas slow jams and themed outfits. Oh yeah, we are keeping the birth of Christ classy!” – JD
“Since moving to Philadelphia from Florida, my boyfriend and I have started the tradition of spending Christmas day in our pajamas. While we love and miss our families, spending Christmas day in the comfiest way possible is awesome! We take it slow, make lots of food and just enjoy each other all day long. Best tradition EVER!” – Ginger

I could write up a whole fancy introduction to this week’s Top Five Tuesday, but I fear you would spend time reading what I’ve got to say rather than seeing these amazing movies for yourself. I have three words for you and really, that’s all you need to know.
Crash. Pad. Series.
 |
Episode 1: Dylan & Trucker: The action that started it all! This first Crash Pad episode set the stage for all the amazingly hot queer sex to come! But let’s focus on this fabulous pairing of real life couple Dylan Ryan and Trucker Cash. I don’t know if there is another way I can describe their chemistry other than palpable. Seriously, I feel like I can see it pinging off their bodies. |
 |
Episode 10: Vai’s Solo: I don’t think I’ve ever been as mesmerized by porn as I was by watching this super sexy gal go at it solo on the Crash Pad couch. So totally hot. |
 |
Episode 9: Julie & Michelle: Not only do I love watching Michelle Aston get busy, I love love love that this movie features a trans woman having sex without adding in all that “shemale” crap. Hurray for progrssive companies! |
 |
Episode 3: Jiz & Shawn: When I think about Crash Pad, or queer porn in generally really, these are the two mainstays that pop into my head. Watching them screw each other is a total treat. |
 |
Episode 22: Brett & Ian: I love that the fellows from Trannywood just stopped by for a quick jaunt at the Crash Pad. I’m not surprised that all of San Francisco wants to get it on at this awesome apartment of Eden! |
Shine Louise Houston – you are a rock star. Viva La Queer Porn!
xoxo

Here at HotMoviesforHer.com we love us some Trannywood Pictures. I mean, there are very few companies making great queer porn and these guys were one of the first. Knowing this, I can’t even begin to explain how it is that we haven’t reviewed this movie before. I mean, I bugged the crap out of director and all around awesome dude Ian Sparks to get a copy and then never bothered to share my opinions on the site!

Anyways, on to the review! Like the original, Couch Surfers 2 features a hot mix of cis dudes and trans guys getting it on and it is equally awesome. You’ll see a few of the men from other Trannywood flixxx, like Mark Van Helsing and Dex Hardlove, and some new studs I can only hope will show up in CS3.
Dex Hardlove and Cupid kick things off in a really hot scene. I’ve had a crush on Hardlove for years now, so it’s no surprise I loved it. That boy is one hell of a top and I’m pretty sure Cupid would back up that statement after the pounding he receives.
You really can’t go wrong with any of the pairings – I mean when people are this into the action, it’s bound to be hot. Mark Van Helsing and Peter Pleas are fan-fucking-tastic as are Ian Sparks and the adorable Lubeboy. Watching Sparks swallow Lubeboy’s cock before giving up his ass was definitely a high point for me.
One thing to point out, and we usually do when talking about Trannywood, is how hot they make safe sex. While a lot of studios use condoms, there aren’t many who incorporate dams, gloves and condoms the same way they do. It’s hot yet educational and who am I to complain about that! There’s even a scene where you get to see two men discuss the fact that they won’t be using any safer sex barriers. Imagine a world where we all talked about things like this before getting busy…
Overall, this is another fantastic offering from the dudes at Trannywood. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, I highly suggest it.

What do our favorite porn performers think about the industry? Inquiring minds want to know! Well, we asked and they answered! Welcome to our latest editor’s spotlight column, where we ask a bunch of stars the same question and see what kind of awesome answers grace our inbox.
This month’s question:
In the last few months, lawmakers in California have been lobbying to require that condoms/barriers be used when making porn.
Do you think that mandatory condom/barrier use in porn would show a more realistic portrayal of sex, or would it detract from the fantasy aspect of porn? Why?
I think barriers and condoms should be the “best practices” or the norm that everyone just assumes. And those barriers should be shown going on. I know a lot of folks can get frustrated getting a condom on a huge toy, when it seems so easy in movies. And showing how to avoid cross contamination, such as switching out condoms or gloves when moving from one hole to another should be encouraged. I’m always shocked at folks thinking they are being great at barriers, but then not being aware of where they just put those barriers.
I personally don’t think it should be a law…but it is key to our business model at Trannywood Pictures and Dolores Park Studios, to show as often as possible the use of barriers in hot, sexy, and natural ways.
- Ian Sparks
I’ve been using condoms in my Femme Productions movies since 1988 and it hasn’t hurt their appeal one bit. In fact my audience seems to have appreciated my concern for my actors and my desire to set a good example. A few of them even said watching porn stars have unsafe sex was like watching a two actors performing a shoot-out in a western movie with loaded guns! As for the fantasy element, when it was meant to be a fantasy or a dream sequence I simply wouldn’t show that we used condoms. The one exception was when they were real-life couples or married. In that case if they were playing strangers or new lovers I would do an establishing shot showing them taking out a condom and then not worry about it.

It’s been a while since I laid my eyes on some hot Crash Pad action, so I figured it was due time to get a little queer lovin’ ablaze on the ole computer screen.
This time we have two bears hanging out at the Crash Pad, grunting and growling their way through the door. Ian Sparks and Brett McCloskey bring their intense leather daddy love to the pad, bending gender and identity roles while we watch them suck and fuck each other silly.
I love that they communicate while they fuck and still keep it totally sexy. Like asking ‘want more lube in your ass?’ as both a serious question and a part of talking dirty. So hot! And they do just gab a little bit as well, making cute jokes and all. Sex can totally be rough and tender at the same time and it’s awesome that we get a taste of it all with this video. I also really enjoy the multitude of angles that Crash Pad flicks give us. We not only get close ups, but lots of different points of view as well that make the experience more than just watching two people get busy on screen. Pink and White Productions consistently offer up this kind of awesomeness, which is why I like their movies so much and get excited to write up their reviews.
While leather and growling aren’t my preferred kinks, per se, watching these guys go at it so brutally is definitely a turn on. That hardcore passion is enough to drive any self respecting kinkster to their breaking point (ie. complete and utter horniness). McCloskey’s powerful, red-faced orgasms totally get me fanning myself and wishing that I had a copy of that Crash Pad key. Plus, they use my favorite lube, which makes me feel like I am part of the action… even sitting here all hot and bothered at my desk.

That the fates have brought us Episode 22 of the Crash Pad Series after my request for more Trannywood porno the other day!

I’m sure JD would agree with me if she weren’t on vacation, but I’ll have to stand by myself today.

Ian Sparks is one of the guys responsible for bringing queer porn to another level. His film studio, Trannywood Pictures, creates award winning movies that feature male-identified folks in all points of transition having hot, hot sex with other male-identified guys. As well as super sexy, Trannywood movies makes sure to portray safe sex and responsible sexuality throughout their movies. How hot is that!
Sparks has starred in both “Cubbyholes” and “Couch Surfers – Trans Men In Action” from Trannywood and works behind the scenes to bring us some really amazing queer porn. Along with all the awesome porn goodness, Sparks’ passions include community organizing, cultural work, public health, butches, boys, genderqueers, cubs and queer activists of all genders. Swoon!
1. How (and when) did you get started in the industry?
About 4 years ago, I became one of the owners of a gay safe sex club in San Francisco (EROS). We have a very community, mission focused model that includes a free community classroom, art gallery and a lounge that is available for all gender events. We wanted to expand our safe sex message and our focus on normalizing a variety of body types. So, when we decided to try our hand at doing a niche film, it was either going to be a bears of color movie, or a gay trans men film. A couple of our staff were in Morty Diamond‘s “Trannyfags” and we realized we had enough talent to go in that direction. That was around 2006. My own screen debut was in a Colt Studio film, called “Beyond Perfect” (2005)….I just had a non sex roll, but Mr. Pam was one of the camera operators and I got a lot of screen time.
