Well, we are officially back from Palm Springs! The ladies of HotMoviesForHer.com infiltrated the sunny desert town to help lesbians from around the world celebrate the phenomenon that is The Dinah 2012. That’s right, we left our stuffy desks to get the porno gospel out to the masses! Not only did we sponsor the event (the biggest lesbian event in the world, mind you), we also got down and dirty with the ladies, passing out porno, bags, buttons and vibes. Hard work, but someone had to do it, right?
Luckily we thought to bring our high tech gadgets (um… our iphones and a flip cam) and document this awesome experience to bring back to you all. Seriously, between the three of us, we probably have upwards of 400 photos. Anyway, let’s get to it!
Ginger and I (JD) got up at the ass crack of dawn on Wednesday (3/28) and hopped on airplanes heading to California (via Phoenix).

After flying all day and dealing with all the exhausting that travel brings, we checked into our rooms at the Riviera Palm Springs (a super stylized oasis of awesome) and headed straight to the pool. Since it was still the day before the official opening of The Dinah, the hotel was still full of families and folks on vacation – which also meant that the pool was fairly empty and lots of chairs were free. But you don’t really want to hear about our down time, do you?
That night we went out for dinner and stopped by the Official Dinah Pre-Party at the Riviera Hotel, which was pretty tame – just a few early arrivers hanging around at the bar. In fact, we didn’t even bother taking pictures. The next day we hung out with some of the staff folks and headed over to the pool to make sure our banner was hanging high, which it was.
After a rigorous day of “getting ready for Dinah,” we got ourselves prettied up and downed a Five Hour Energy each to make sure we were pumped for the Official Opening Party at Zelda’s Nightclub. Check out these classy broads!

This party was seriously awesome. Being the first big party of the weekend, everyone was super high energy and excited to get their dance on. Their was even an awesome blow up doll that was wearing a HotMoviesForHer sticker on her head.
If you look closely, she has a HM4Her sticker on her head!

As you can see, it was a pretty rockin’ night, full of dancing, drinking and the trademark debauchery that is The Dinah. Some cute girl even bought drinks for all of us – after telling Ginger Leigh how pretty she is (which, duh, is the truth). All in all, it was the perfect opening to Dinah 2012!
And, of course, because Five Hour Energy lasts forever, we ended up binging on junk food (thank goodness for the 7-11 across the street from the hotel) and staying up super late stuffing porn cards into bags to hand out. It was a great start to the weekend!

Happy Friday to all! This week has felt exceptionally long and I know we are all ready for the weekend. One total bright spot during the week was the announcement that hip-hop queens SALT-N-PEPA have joined the Dinah Shore 2010 line-up!! How awesome is that!?!?!

Today is my 2 year anniversary with HotMoviesForHer.com. Some days it feels like I’ve been working here forever (we just mesh well) and others seem like it’s only been a minute. I guess it’s true what they say about time flying when you are having fun. And fun is definitely what I’ve been having, peddling the girlie smut and bringing all I know about sexin’ to you ladies. I love my job and know that the pleasure side of sexuality is where I belong.
In celebration of my anniversary, I thought I’d write up some of my favorite HM4Her moments from the last two years. I know it’s a little self indulgent, but hey isn’t indulgence what porn is all about?
- Dinah Shore weekends 2008 & 2009. Sponosoring this massive lezzie event is not only an awesome way to help the lesbian community get to know us, it’s a fabulous way for us to really get to talk to tons of women about porn and what things they’d like to see on a porn site just for women. Watching Pat Benetar, Margaret Cho, the Idigo Girls, Lady Gaga and bunches of girls in binkinis is just a perk. Oh, that and hanging out with The Porn Librarian. It’s the only time of the year I get to see her face-to-face, so Palm Springs is extra fun!
Back in April when we went to Dinah Shore Weekend in Palm Springs, we met the awesome folks of Tulip Toy Gallery who had an impressive, silicone-heavy spread of sex toys out on their table for all to check out. Aside with being perfectly smitten with the staff, we fell in love with their line of Vamp Silicone toys. Vamp merges art, function and pleasure to create carefully considered silicone designs that I would be as excited to display on my shelf as I would be to strap into a harness and get goin’.
Fast forward through a few months of back and forth emails, those fabulous folks at Tulip sent us one of their very favorite Vamp toys to review – The Talula. Made exclusively for Tulip, Vamp’s Talula comes in three sizes, small (L 5″, W 1″), medium (L 6″, W 1.5″), and large (L 7″, W 2″), and is the only anatomically correct dildo designed specifically for harness use! By ‘anatomically correct,’ I believe they are referring to the upward angle of the dildo, which, in fact, definitely resembles the angle of a flesh and blood penis. Well… we didn’t exactly DO Margaret Cho (sigh), but we did go see her at Dinah ’09! And because we were sponsoring the whole weekend and got VIP passes, we got awesome 2nd row seats with the perfect view for takin’ video.

We’re back with part 2 of our Dinah ’09 adventure. We left off yesterday with the Indigo Girls concert and us getting ready to get out to the Hollywood party! After a quick change, we were all dolled up in our porno finery and returned to the Convention Center to get our party on and hang out with the lezzie ladies!
Total babes, I know! We hit the party hard and gave lots of ladies a little sticker love, which some of them returned with picture love.

Weeeee’re Back! After an extra-extended weekend of fun and sun, traveling and recovery, we HM4H ladies are finally back at our desks and ready to give you a rundown on the amazing adventure that was Dinah Shore. Ok, well Dinah Shore weekend really, not the actual Dinah Shore, who had nothing to do with lesbians at all (which is a total bummer for her). We are talking about the d. baucherous long weekend that has lezzies from around the world taking over Palm Springs, California. We started the weekend with a post about the opening party and how much fun we had dancing and preaching the porno gospel to the ladies, but that was seriously small potatoes once the rest of the women came into town and the real party began!
After a crazy ass wind storm on Friday during the day (seriously, there were overturned cars and fires!), the weather took ahold of itself and let us get to the Margaret Cho comedy hour, which was freaking hilarious. And because we were awesome VIP sponsor types, we got in early and planted our butts in the second row! Not only did we get Cho, the show included comics Jessica Kirson and Gina Yashere who were pee-in-your-pants funny (luckily we didn’t!). Margaret Cho’s time on stage included both comedy and her newly unleashed musical proclivities which include lots of acoustic guitar (my favorite!).
She even dueted with The Cliks frontman Lucas Silveira, which I will post a video of when I get it all set up on youtube. Holy crap is his voice ah-mazing!
After M.C., we went back to the hotel to relax and get ready for the White Diamonds party, which featured Katy Perry, who we were not all that interested in seeing to be perfectly honest (she kissed a girl, so what? I have too). The party itself was pretty exciting though.
It was at the Palm Springs Convention Center, a huge venue only a few blocks from our hotel. With lots o ladies shakin’ thier booties and go-go girls up on the poles, it was a total party paradise and perfect for our pervy selves to chat up the masses and hang out some cards for free porno minutes. We got dressed up in our finest porno clothes (think branded shirts, not stripper boots) and headed to the Opening Party at Zelda’s last night. After watching a billion beautiful women stream into Palm Springs over the course of the past couple of days, we were super excited to see what would happen once you got them in the same room and added heavy doses of booze and bass. Let me just say we were not disappointed!
While it was tempting to just sit back and watch the crowd in action, we worked the room and got to talk to a lot of really cool women, including a couple from Holland and a BLAHHHHHHH. Not surprisingly, everyone was into the idea of free porn. Overall, it set the pace for what is sure to be an insane weekend. Today, we’re heading to the first big pool party and gearing up for Margaret Cho and the White Party tonight!
