For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been readying my apartment for an upcoming move.  Along with packing all of my belongings, this also entails going through all of the shit I’ve ended up storing under my bed and in various closets.  The other night I was pulling boxes of random stuff out from under my bed when I found a VHS copy of Debbie Does Dallas.  Score!  I happily passed it along to a friend that still has a VCR, reminiscing about how it is such an awesome movie.  Luckily, I didn’t actually need to keep the old VCR to watch all the classic porns – we have them here, streaming and ready to watch.  Yes, I know that sounds like a commercial for HM4Her, but honestly, I just say it because I am grateful that I don’t need to add VCR to my list of crap to pack.  In honor of finding this movie the other day, I decided it was totally time to review it once more (the last time we reviewed it was back in 2007, when Stoya still worked here, as she wrote the review).

Oh Debbie, what is a cheerleader to do with only two weeks left to earn money for a big trip to Dallas to cheer as a Cowgirl?  Good thing you have your squad behind you, helping you figure out a plan.  Sure, you can all get after school jobs, but even working down at the local sports equipment store (or record store, or library) will bring in enough cash to get you and your friends down to Texas.  Unless… you take that horny sports shop owner, Mr. Greenfield, up on his offer to pay you extra to flash him and let him suck on you nipples.  Heck, why not talk to the rest of the gals about opening up their variety of “services” and have them each give their new bosses the help they are REALLY looking for?  Look who’s making it to Dallas!

As much as some parts of this awesome classic gave me that uncomfortable ‘sexual harassment feeling,’ I tried my best to keep in mind that porn is fantasy and you don’t have to worry about that stuff in a fantasy.   My feminist brain gets the best of me with classic porn sometimes.  I was actually surprised how feminist I found this old school flick.  All the girls make a decision together to burst into the world of sex work, deciding exactly how far they want to go with their bosses.  Sure, most of them are fucking like champs by the end, running that gamut from butt sex to spanking, but they made those decisions for themselves.  I love that the director showed the conversation they had together in the locker room.  Good old second wave feminism to the rescue.

All the fucking in this flick is actually pretty hot.  I love a full ‘70s bush, so I was in total luck with each and every naked body.  The entire hour and a half movie is filled with all kinds of activities, including pussy licking, blowjobs and the aforementioned butt sexin’ and spanking.  Hell, there is even jerking off with a candle.  Big props for variety!

I’m so glad I finally took the time to watch this whole movie and really appreciate the attention to detail in classic porn.  I decided to check out the re-mastered version, which I’m assuming makes a difference, but honestly, I’m not sure how much of a difference.  All I know is that this classic dirty flick has totally earned its place in both porno and pop culture history.  Thanks for doing Dallas, Debbie!

After finally sitting down to watch Deep Throat yesterday, I was inspired to take a second look at some of the biggest names in classic porn – the ones that not only changed the adult industry, but also cemented themselves into pop culture fame. A bunch of weeks back, I was watching the premiere of Conan O’ Brien taking over The Tonight Show, when all of a sudden Conan was hanging out in the middle of the Vivid Entertainment Group’s offices.  What the hell?  Apparently Conan was just paying a visit to his new neighbors, who reside right across the street from his Tonight Show set.

I’m much more into football than cheerleaders, but I will admit that I can usually find a girl or two that catch my eye during half time festivities at sporting events. Studio: Vivid Category: Alt-Porn

This movie was so alt (alternative), I didn’t even get it until half way through. A mix of fucking, sucking, avant garde soft focus shots and music video cuts, this brand spankin’ new release from Vivid offers up an action-packed XXX chock full of hardcore hotness. As a nod to the original Debbie Does Dallas, I expected Debbie to be getting busy with everyone. But no, Debbie really does love Dallas, which in this flick is a band, with frontrunner Punky as Debbie’s main dish, and her hole belongs only to him – except for when she fucks Debbie. That’s right, a cameo from what’s supposed to be THE Debbie (you know the one). How transcendental.

While I think it’s probably too spastic (read: dizzying) for some, I got pretty into the hyperdrive feel of this flick. But in all honesty, the gagging sounds from the deep throating in just about every scene were getting to me. But the scenes keep you watching and the stars are super hot, so I’d definitely watch this again… just on mute.

Oh no! Debbie needs to raise some quick cash to make it to Dallas. She takes an after-school job, but when her boss (Mr. Greenfield) is more interested in her breasts than her football selling skills, the girls from the cheerleading team decide that since men are willing to pay for fun and on the girls’ own terms there’s no reason not to charge. One girl even takes it in the butt to preserve her virginity. Donna shows her boyfriend her newly learned deepthroating skills, leading to the best line in the entire movie: “Baby dont choke, stay alive”, and later Mr. Biddle spanks her for ‘fucking around’ on the job. The last scene, Debbie in her Dallas Cheerleader uniform and Mr. Greenfield dressed as the captain of the football team, was super cute. It seemed as though the performers really had fun with the scene on top of enjoying themselves. With hot hardcore action and girls from before plastic surgery was rampant in porn valley, it’s easy to see why this classic has spawned so many sequels and remakes.

March is Women’s History Month!

We here at HotMoviesForHer.com have an appreciation for the classics…those gems from the 70′s and 80′s when pornography was just coming into it’s own and the Santa Monica Valley was the place to be. But behind the feathered mops and shiny polyester suits there was a real movement brewing…and it all started with Gerard Damiano‘s films Deep Throat, starring Linda Lovelace, and The Devil in Miss Jones starring Georgina Spelvin. Deep Throat, thought of as the single most influencial adult film in history, has since gone on to gross upwards of $600 Million Dollars since it’s release in 1972 and, along with The Devil in Miss Jones, has spawned countless remakes and sequels.

In 1978 another iconic film came along, Debbie Does Dallas, starring Bambi Woods. Since it’s release, there have been nearly 25 sequels and spin-offs that have proven to be nearly as successful as the original. In fact, chances are if you’ve never even heard of pornography, you’ve heard of the “Debbie Does…” series. However, contrary to the title, the film is not set in Dallas nor does the titular Debbie “do” anyone in or from Dallas. In 2002 Debbie Does Dallas was made into an off-Broadway musical comedy. Unlike the original movie, the musical does not contain any sex or nudity, which caused some disappointment among people, as false hype had been made and the musical’s producers did nothing to dismiss it. Nevertheless, it’s impact is evident.

Things have changed since the 70′s. In 1970, a Federal study estimated that the total retail value of all the hardcore porn in the United States was no more than $10 million. By 2003, Americans were estimated to spend as much as $8 to $10 billion on pornography alone! Who is Debbie doing now?
