Dark Circus

It’s not too often that people can parlay their passions into a paycheck… especially if your passion happens to be hardcore BDSM. But for some, being able to do what they love for a living brings something special to the mix and turns the old 9 to 5 into the extraordinary. Alyssah Simone, otherwise known as the fabulous Maitresse Madeline, has not only created a lucrative career out of her love for fetish, she and her partner, Elijah X, have their own company, Dark Circus, with which they use their expertise to produce videos that they themselves would enjoy.

1. How (and when) did you get started in the industry?
In my personal life I had always been into kinky activities and BDSM. I went to school and worked a mainstream job. But I yearned for something more free and creative. When I met my business partner he was on the same page as I was and immediately we knew we wanted to do something in adult and we wanted to do it on our own terms. We both have that passion for the fetish side of sex and both of us brought many ideas to the table. At the time we met, I had already left my mainstream job and was working as a professional webcam model doing considerably well. This was about 4 years ago. During that time together we conceptualized our fetish production company Dark Circus. Our first site (to take off) Madelineiswicked.com is a femme domme niche site that explores my love of BDSM and the darker side of my sexuality. We have three others sites about to roll out here within the next few months including my own solo girl site AlyssahSimone.com.
