You know what I like almost as much as watching porno movies? Getting to know behind-the-scenes stories and juicy details. And what’s the point of hearing awesome stories if I don’t pass the goodies along to our HM4Her friends?
You said you wanted to know a little about the work I did with Bree. I guess the most remarkable set was with Sasha Grey, shot Feb 2, 2007. It was Bree’s first girl/girl scene and was scheduled as an anal s/o scene (strap on scene). This particular set was the first and only time I’ve ever been summoned to the dressing room. I don’t like to go into the dressing room, it’s for the girls, plus I got a lot of other stuff to do – lighting, etc. Anyhow, someone came and got me.

“Kathy can you come to the dressing room?”
“I’m busy, can’t you handle it?”
“No Kathy, you need to get in there… now.”
[This was Ariel X. Ariel can and will handle any situation that arises on set at TF. Therefore I knew someone was ready to throw down and I had a good idea who.]
I told Ariel I’d be there in a minute, (I didn’t want anyone thinking Ariel told on them.) When I walked in the room there was dead silence. Sasha was standing in the center of the room, folding clothes on a small table and Bree was on the other side of the table, rared back, hands on her hips, looking like she was gonna start spitting fire. Their eyes were locked, neither acknowledged my presence – other than the silence. I walked around the room to the opposite side, I guess to give them a minute to settle down?
Me: So, what’s up guys?
S: Nothing
Me: Looks like somethin’ to me. What’s going on?
B: Everything’s fine.
Me: I can tell there’s a problem.
B: I brought an outfit to set and now it’s gone.
I have no idea whatsoever if this was the root of the problem or not, but really, that’s not important. I yelled for Shoosh and she took Bree to locate the missing outfit. I talked to Sasha for a minute or two about nothing and left.
Bree comes to me and says she doesn’t want to do anal. That’s fine with me; if anything I was a bit relieved. It was a great scene – mastered and manipulated by honesty.
Flash forward an hour and we’re standing together getting ready to begin the scene.
Me: This won’t be an anal scene.
S: Okay. Just straight strap on?
Me: Yea
B: Do I get to use it on her then?
I open my mouth to speak and there was Sasha, chin lowered, eyes piercing Bree.
S: No
[brief pause for more dead silence]
Me: Allllllllllll righty…anything else guys?
B: Yea, I don’t like to be slapped – not in the face.
Me: Okay. Got it Sasha?
S: I got it
Me: We ready?
S: Yea, we’re ready
It was the beginning of a wonderful relationship with both Bree and Sasha. They’re great women! Sasha, calm as a cucumber, which never changed the entire time I shot her, and Bree, full of piss and vinegar, and that never changed either.
***Later that evening I paid Ariel and had an opportunity to chat w/ her for a sec:
Me: Do you wantta be in our prison movie? [Ended up being Triangle's first feature, River Rock Women's Prison]
A: Our? Who’s?
Me: Ours, mine and yours and whoever else I pick. Maybe Sasha and Bree, but I haven’t decided
A: Sure. When?
Me: I think 2 years, but maybe 3, I have to save my money.
A: Great, I can’t wait!
and the rest is history…
6 months later, (8/3/07), I met Claire Adams and posed the same question to her with the same response.
Me: Ours. Mine and Ariel’s … and yours, if you wantta do it! Justine Joli too. I haven’t told her but she’s gonna wind up there, trust me
Claire accepted. I am extremely lucky to work with the women I do. There’s always a story, always. Give me a scene and I’ll give you a story!

Finally September is here! And you know what that means – today is the EXCLUSIVE release of the new Triangle Films feature Justine Joli LOST! Exciting!
I got a chance to watch this flick last week and all I can say is man, oh man, those Triangle ladies get it right every time. And this is only their sophomore feature! While they have a ton of vignettes and scene-based movies/series under their belts, Triangle has recently forayed into the world of features and do a seriously kick ass job of it! Just look at the awesome hotness that is River Rock Women’s Prison!

It’s the same old story. A great relationship and a wonderful life before that one day where your misdeeds and missteps have everything crumble out underneath you.
Justine and Claire are a super sexy couple – totally in love and so happy… until Justine gets her fuck on with the plumber, the way hot Syd Blakovich.
Sure Justine and Syd make sweet, sweet sexy magic as they romp around the bubble bath, but I can’t help feeling a little confused and sad for Claire as they came up and down my computer screen. Well, I was more focused on watching Syd cum (her rolled back eyes are so damn hot!) than feeling bad for a fictional character, but, what can I say, I still couldn’t totally concentrate knowing that something bad was going to happen…
As much as I love porn and all its awesomeness, it is pretty rare that I eagerly await the release of a porno movie. Sure they come to me and I am excited to see them, but it’s not so often that I hear about a movie and wait with baited breath for it to arrive on my computer screen. It takes an amazing movie to get me all tingly before I even hit play, and this time around I have only two words for you: Rough Sex. Rough Sex 2, actually, as in Tristan Taormino’s Rough Sex 2, the second installment of her revolutionary porn series that brings the real fantasies of the actual performers to the screen and rattles the lines between reality and fiction.
When it comes to any of Tristan Taormino’s movies, I really believe revolutionary is the best way to get her work across. Before the Rough Sex series ever came to pass, there was her straight up instructional videos that removed the drabness and lackluster from educational porn and brought the genre into an engaging whirlwind of anatomy, explanation and hot sexin’. Then was her Chemistry series that brought a group of porn stars together in a house for 36 hours and let them decide who did what with whom and how they did it. The movies brought that behind-the-scenes negotiation to the screen and showed us performers in control of their careers and choices. All of that realness came across in what I can only describe as some of the hottest sex I’ve seen from a mainstream porn company.
And then we have Rough Sex. I was seriously blown away when I first heard of Taormino’s idea of taking the real actors’ desires and creating porno magic. Removing that screen between performer and real person could be risky in some instances, but Taormino sets up some of the safest spaces I’ve seen in porn and brings a general sense of calm and trust to whatever she is working on. We are doing something a little different today. Instead of choosing a movie we have on HM4Her and reviewing it, we are taking a sneak peek at the awesomeness that is about to come our way! I was lucky enough to have the amazing ladies of Triangle Films send me over a copy of their latest feature film, “Justine Joli LOST.”
Full to the hilt with a kick ass cast including Justine Joli (duh), Ariel X, Claire Adams, Kimberly Kane, Syd Blakovich, Sasha Grey and Nina Hartley, I doubt this flick could be anything other than pure magic. And if it follows in the footsteps of Triangle’s first feature “River Rock Women’s Prison,” this latest movie is going to absolutely bliss you out!
While I love me some Lesbian Tutors and Tribade Sorority series, there is just something so special about Triangle’s feature films. Kathryn Annelle as a way of turning everything she touches to pure Sapphic gold, but LOST and River Rock totally blow the roof off for this reviewer.
Both Annelle and her partner/producer Shoosh give their movies the utmost respect and take the time to truly make porn that women want to watch. They treat all of their performers like family, which in turn creates a loving and warm dynamic that wholly translates to the screen. Read the rest of this entry »

Not many people can shine on both sides of the video camera. It takes a certain breed to feel equally comfortable in the action as well as calling the shots. Kimberly Kane does both with a style and grace that capture the commercial successes of mainstream porn and the artful exploration of the alternative realm.
Not only is Kane a total pleasure to watch in whatever position she is in – be it rocking a dance off with Joanna Angel or fakin’ a love of tofu in First Dates (and you pervs thought I meant doggy style), she shines through as the person to watch no matter how many people are in the frame. As a director, she is bold and engaging and makes the kind of stuff I’d watch even if people kept their clothes on. Fun and up for anything that makes porn more that just the old in and out, Kimberly Kane isn’t afraid to bring it, and that’s just what she does.

I got into the business in late 2003, two months before my 20th birthday. I tagged along to a set with a friend unsure of what to expect and it was a very good “free spirited” experience.
