Candida Royalle

Writer/Director/Star (and HM4Her guest contributor) Nica Noelle will be on ABC’s Nightline on this Thursday (June 11th) night talking about making and marketing porn for women!  

Both Nica’s studios – the all girl Sweetheart Video and it’s hardcore boy/girl counterpart Sweet Sinner, are expressly marketed for women and feature real sex, real passion and above all real orgasms.  All her movies are plot-driven, intelligent, engaging and totally HOT!

Women’s Porn legendary director Candida Royalle was also interviewed for Thursday’s show, bringing the porn for women genre full circle for Noelle.

Candida paved the way for the rest of us,” Noelle said about the New York City-based Royalle. “The producers told me they wanted to show us both, sort of a ‘passing of the torch’ thing. I was honored they chose me to represent the future of female-friendly porn.

I know where I will be on Thursday night (at 11:35pm)!  Watch this for sure.

And don’t worry Nightline, it’s ok that you didn’t include us… it only stings a little.

Happy Mother’s Day from HotMoviesForHer!  Sure we’re a bunch of smut peddlin’ pervs, but we also daughters of rockin’ ladies who deserve all the best for raising their gals to be sex positive, sexually aware women.  For that, we hold Mother’s Day to the highest regard and want to celebrate the best way we know how… with porn!

When it comes to mixing moms and porn the conversation is a tricky one.  It’s impossible for us to say which movies are “mom-friendly” because for every mom who wants to watch a Candida Royalle flick, there’s one who’s clicking on the newest Belladonna (also a mom!) movie.  All women – yes, even moms – have different tastes to what they like to watch, and who are we to say that you can’t like the raunchiest hardcore out there just because you are a lady? Or because you happened to have raised a few rugrats?

That said, we decided to create a list of movies for moms that may not have much experiences with the porno.  An ease you both in approach for those of you who aren’t comfortable encouraging your mom to watch Cum Whores 1 Million… even if your mom secretly has the first 999,999 Cum Whore volumes.  Because women’s sexuality has been supressed for so long, some of our older generations haven’t been exposed to the awesomeness that is porn made specifically for women.  These are a few hot movies for her to help introduce mom to the best of what porn has to offer.

Happy Hump Day!  Lots of links to give lovin’ to, so let’s get it goin’!

The big thing in sex news recently is this article on MSNBC about female executives in the adult industry.  The Porn Librarian talked about it already, but I wanted to add my two cents and talk a little bit more about the awesome ladies that make adult great.

It’s always kind of funny to me when mainstream media tries to talk about the adult industry, especially women within the industry.  It’s like they are totally blown away by the idea that a woman can be in the porno biz without taking off her top and they don’t really buy it, but report on it anyway.  I’m pretty used to mainstream media sensationalizing “the industry” and sex in general, but I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised by how thorough and informative the article actually is.  Good work MSNBC.  Not only did they talk to women that are currently bigwigs in the industry, but ladies that helped make porno female friendly in the past.

So many sex bloggers, so little time!  On Friday Venus and I hopped the Chinatown bus up to New York for the NYC Sex Bloggers Calendar Release Party.  Since we were one of the sponsors and we love supporting our sexy blogger community, we wanted to actually be there to help them celebrate the release of their awesome calendar…  and I really wanted to meet all of them in person.  You can only Twitter with people for so long before you want to actually meet them face to face.

We ended up getting there with a couple of hours to spare, so after checking into the hotel and putting all our stuff down, we grabbed some awesome Mexican food and wandered around window shopping for a little while before going back to the room to get ready.  Being the kind of femme (and totally indecisive) gal that I am, I brought a few outfits to choose from and funny enough, ended up picking the one that nearly matched Venus’!  I had a grey zebra print skirt and a black shirt and she wore a grey zebra shirt and a black skirt.  After giggling about being matchy matchy, we decided if anyone noticed, we’d just say it was the HotMoviesForHer dress code.  Smart thinkin’, huh?  Dressed and glamourous, we hopped a subway down to the White Rabbit for the party.

For the week up to the party and even on the way there, I kept telling Venus that all I wanted was to get there early enough to get one of the gift bags given to the first 100 people.  And though we arrived only 15 or 20 minutes after the doors opened, the place was PACKED and all the bags were doled out.  Bummed as I was to miss out on the goodie bags, I was super excited that the party was so well attended.
