I was pretty excited to give the PicoBong Honi a whirl.  Pico Bong toys are made the same folks that make Lelo toys.  While I love the crap out of Lelo’s products, they are on the pricey end of the spectrum.  While they are totally worth it with their soft silicone and rechargeable ways, sometimes they just don’t fit into the budget.  Soooo, I think it is pretty neat that they came out with a line of toys with a wallet friendly price point.

The Honi is a bullet vibrator made from soft Silicone and ABS plastic.  It is waterproof and boasts 12 vibe patterns and multiple speeds.  It is a little over 3 inches in length and a little over 1 inch wide.  It takes 1 AAA battery that keeps it powered up for 2 hours.

Right off the bat I was a little annoyed.  I was all set for a solo session and I couldn’t figure out how to turn the Honi on.  I read the directions and discovered that you press plus sign that is inside the “b” on the vibrator to turn it on (and you press the minus in the “p” to turn it off).  You’re probably wondering why I didn’t just read the directions to begin with.  Well, I don’t think you should have to read directions to turn on a bullet vibrator!  The plus and minus are camouflaged, damnit.  Just sayin’.

While we’re on the subject of controls: to cycle through the various patterns, you hold down the plus sign for 2 seconds as you cycle through to the next one.  I didn’t love this because sometimes it was hard to tell where one pattern and ended and another began.  It didn’t ruin my life, but I do prefer to just click on through rather than continually pressing the button.  The vibrations were not off the charts strong, but they had some nice zoom… enough to keep me interested.  While not 100% silent, it was definitely on the quiet side which I always appreciate.

I started with a bad taste in my mouth, but my experience turned to out to be a decent one.  As bullet vibes go, it holds its own and offers an impressive variety of patterns in one tiny hunk of silicone.  It is also totally waterproof which is nice in the bath and makes cleaning super easy.  Is this toy going to be the number one love of my sex toy life?  Nope, but I think people who are into the crazy vibration patterns would absolutely love it.

I was lucky enough to review a nice little collection of toys and lube from Good Vibrations.  I’ll spare you the small talk and get down to business.

Made exclusively for Good Vibrations, Please Liquid Lubricant definitely gets a gold star.  First of all it is glycerin and paraben free.  Being the highly sensitive girl that I am, this is a must for me.  It does contain sorbitol, which is a sugar alcohol that acts as a thickener, but it didn’t cause any problems for me.  I mention this because sugar in the vag generally causes yeast infections.  I have used Please Liquid Lube more than a handful of times and have experienced no irritation.  It really creates a nice thick wall of slippery goodness on my skin with only a few drops.  It definitely had a nice weight to it.  I prefer a heftier lube, so I’m a fan of this stuff.  If you prefer more of a water-like consistency, I wouldn’t recommend this product to you.  Please Lube is taste and scent free, so no yucky chemical taste when you change up your sex acts.  It does leave the tiniest bit of residue when all is said and done, but it isn’t enough to keep from going back to it.  It washes off easily and since
it is water based, you are good to use it with condoms and sex toys.  Please lube is definitely in my rotation of go-to lubes.

The Silver Bullet Vibrator is a timeless classic is that I would recommend to a sex toy beginner or to someone who prefers simple vibrators.  It controlled by a wired remote control with a dial control on the side that allows you to adjust from low to high vibration.  While this vibe is no match for the high powered pocket rocket, it is a mighty little egg.  It is a bit on the buzzy side, but I was impressed with the power it presented for such a basic toy.  It has a moderate noise level that may bug you if you’re super sensitive to those things, but I was able to ignore it.  I’m not going to paint this vibrator as being any fancier than it is, but as egg vibrators go, this one holds its own.  It is totally affordable and made from sturdy hard plastic.  I have to point this out because I have encountered cheap egg vibes that barely make it through the first use without cracking or having a motor melt down.  This one is still going strong after a few uses.  Cleaning is simple.  It isn’t waterproof, but wiping
down with a soapy damp cloth will do the trick.  I advise against submerging in water or taking it in the shower.  If you’re on a budget and in need of a new little vibrator, the Silver Bullet is for you.

The Bunny Sleeve is an affordable way to change up the basic Silver Bullet, or any pocket rocket style vibrator.   It slides on with little hassle and covers just about the entire toy when used with the Silver Bullet.  It transfers the vibrations all the way to the ears, so if you like pin point clitoral stimulation, you would definitely enjoy this little bunny.  I don’t personally pin point stimulation, I’m more of an all over kind of girl.  Either way, it’s an easy way to jazz up a simple vibrator.  It is made from elastomer so it is semi-porous, but it is phthalates free and hypoallergenic.  You don’t have to deal with skin irritation, but I wouldn’t recommend sharing with a friend.  It is super easy to clean.  Just wash with a little soap and water and run under the faucet.  At the very least, it’s cute and makes the simplest of toys versatile.

I was excited. I never had a sex toy before. “Looks like a prettier spark plug,” I thought. The Climax Pop has some obvious perks to the first time owner. Phthalate free, batteries included, waterproof, and hygienic silicone all located on a neat little placard, that I must say, has some rather eye-catching gradient use.

I pulled it free from its backing and pressed the small button. Nothing. Batteries included right? I looked at the package, clicked the button again, nothing. The light turned green, time to go. Yes, that’s correct. Out of the sheer bewilderment that I was given a sex toy at work, I had already opened it to see how strong the vibration was. Do not get the wrong idea though; I don’t advocate masturbating while driving.

Once safely in my home I discovered the problem. A small plastic circle that prevents the circuit from connecting while being shipped was on top of the batteries. After this was removed it was good to go. It might be a good idea to write a tiny reminder of this on the package.

My initial impression with this one-speed bullet was that it was rather strong considering it’s powered by three AG13 batteries. These are the kind you may know as “hearing aid or watch batteries”. The vibration isn’t loud and won’t be heard through walls, although I wouldn’t recommend it for a bunk bed setting if you’re trying to be secretive.

I’m a blessed woman. It doesn’t take me long to cum. However, the longer the Climax Pop was on, the dimmer the vibration got. It was already running out of juice with less than 5 minutes of use. As it slowed, I noticed that the vibration had lost its excitement factor and it was literally causing my clitoral vicinity to go numb. I figured I’d give the toy a quick break, thinking it might return to its once grand splendor if it went outside for a cigarette and grabbed a cup of coffee. In the end I was wrong, it never made its way back to shock and awe point. Back to good old hands it was.

If you find that you’re particularly sensitive or want to start slow, this non-threatening toy may be for you. I’d suggest you take the time while ordering to get some replacement batteries. These are not the most convenient to find and if you become reliant on the toy, you won’t be able to pop the back off of a remote and borrow a battery.

It was definitely easy to clean, although there is no boiling allowed here. Directions explicitly state anti-bacterial soap and water. Other care instructions: remove the batteries when not in use, take care to make sure the cap is securely tightened, and don’t use silicone lubricant. These are all valid points, and should be written in something larger and darker than a size 4 silver font. Cleaning, safety, and power issues are the most important bits of information you need to maintain your toys. Don’t forget your glasses if you’re looking to check this out in a store.

Overall, I give it a solid meh. If you are looking to try out a simple and discrete toy, which is easy to clean and introduce you to silicone, this has a low price point for the first time buyer. If you’re looking to knock your own socks off, you may want to aim for something with a few more speeds and a more reliable power structure.

Unfortunately, there are a couple of not so super points I need to bring up. First up, this is not a very powerful toy, although since it runs on one AA battery I didn’t expect much. Of course, it is comparable and ever better than most bullet vibes, I just don’t want anyone to be misled. I also think it’s unfortunate that it only offers one speed. I can usually forgive a weaker vibe if I have a little control over the buzzing, but sadly this is a one trick pony.

While this is a great toy for us, I would suggest people who aren’t sure about bullet vibes pick up a $5 trial toy to see if it’s a toy they need to have in their collection. To be honest, if you’re not super into bullet vibes, you can probably find a better toy to spend your money on, especially for solo play. However, if you’re someone like me that reaches for a bullet vibe time and time again, why wouldn’t you spend a little more money on a toy that is made from a safer material that happens to be lots of fun!

You fill the cup with water, take out the bullet vibe from the cap, put the cap on the cup and stick the whole thing in the freezer for 3 – 4 hours.

The instructions say 4 hours, but mine was ready in 3.  They also suggest using boiling water if you want clear ice, but mine came out perfectly clear with cold tap water. The Touché Ice also comes with hints about how to flavor the ice – like a Popsicle – for added fun, or substitute chocolate for water and have a vibrating chocolate treat.  Great ideas, but I stuck with the regular tap water for my run.

It came out of the freezer, not quite looking like it does on the box or the YouTube video; there was a little gap between the cap and the ice that was probably my fault for not filling the cap up far enough. Also, I found it was easier to get the ice out of the cup by squeezing the cup from the bottom (yay for pliable silicone) rather than peeling the cup off the ice. This squeezablity also came in handy when I was trying to get the bullet out of the cap, it’s a little hard to grasp on its own but the cap is really squishable so I just grasped it firmly and applied pressure to the opposite side till the bullets squirted right out.

Now we’ve all heard (or experimented) with really cold objects directly on skin before – think tongue to ice cold pole, so I didn’t want to take a chance with the Touché Ice directly on my most tender bits without some assurances it wouldn’t stick. My first thought was to use a lube, but I figured that since all my lubes are water based that wouldn’t keep them from freezing too. Instead I set up a nice hot bath, figuring that if I got stuck I could dip down into the hot water and unstuck quick and painlessly while enjoying the orgasmically warm water in contrast to the icy cold vibrating awesomeness.

Good plan right? Indeed, it was awesomeness! The feel of the ice on my skin while kneeling in the tub was amazing, though the vibrations of the bullet were definitely not as strong as the thing had been when not encased in silicone and ice.
