Betty Page
The title led me to believe that I might be in for a treat with this compilation of Betty Page footage – which is far from the truth. There’s nothing here that I haven’t seen before, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing because I love me some Betty Page. This film features seven short clips of Betty shaking her money maker. There’s no nudity, but the way she’s dressed is far more appealing than most women are when naked anyways. She has an amazing body and her high heels, thigh highs and lingerie accentuate it perfectly. Being a huge fan, I don’t pass up the chance to see her in anything, but if you’ve never seen this legend in action before and are looking for something a little kinkier, check out Betty Page In Bondage.

Reviewing a documentary is a little out of the ordinary, but I do sometimes watch something other than hardcore porn. Betty Page – The Naked Truth tells the story of Irvin Klaw’s favorite subject and the undisputed pin-up queen. It offers a general history of Page told over a fantastic collection of existing footage of the dark beauty. You’ll see everything from photos of her in high school to bondage and dancing videos. While this isn’t a complete biography, the visual format is very intriguing and demonstrates why this living legend continues to have such a strong cult following fifty years later.

 This set of clips from all sorts of gorgeous and glamorous pin up girls was a real joy to watch. Including famous pin ups like Blaze Starr and yes, even the widely known Betty Page, this film holds all sorts of allure for those who miss the golden days of beauty, where women were 100% real, all natural, and just loved to dance around and pose for the camera. With a soundtrack of beautiful classical music, these black and white beauties hold more than just sexuality; they exude sensuality, making me wish that I too had lived in the 40’s and 50’s and was as exquisite as the lovely ladies in this film. An ideal movie for someone looking at their first pornography, someone who values the female form and body, and someone who just loves women, as there is no sexual activity in this movie; just the beautiful girls that we have all come to love. With perfectly coiffed hair, and soft, seductive bodies, these girls held me in rapture and awe as I watched an era of old come alive on the ’silver screen’.

With so much hype around the new movie “The Notorious Bettie Page”, how could we not join in?
Bettie Page (or Betty, as she is credited in her photos and movies) is a sex icon, and rightfully - with her devilish grin, trademark bangs, and voluptuous figure so rarely seen today, her image is one of the most recognizable (and most photographed) today.
