As I blogged about a bunch last week, the Good For Her 4th Annual Feminist Porn Awards were over the weekend and I was lucky enough to fly up to Toronto to be there. Because we helped sponsor the event (yay!), I had been emailing back and forth with Good For Her manager Alison Lee for the few months leading up to the weekend and was already super excited to meet her. I also followed a few of our favorite SF queers on twitter saying that they were going to be there as well, so before I even set foot across the border, I knew I was in for a pretty awesome weekend.
After taking an early flight into Toronto on Friday morning, I met up with Alison Lee (from Good for Her) and NoFauxxx.com‘s Courtney Trouble for lunch and had such fun chatting all about queer porn and the upcoming awards later that evening. Total shoutouts to these fabulous ladies who rock the porn/sex/sexuality world with amazing style. Afterwards Trouble and I hit a vintage/screen printing shop nearby before I headed back to my room and took a much needed nap. Who wants to be exhausted at a late night event with a bunch of awesome porn folks? Not me!
I was invited to the pre-awards VIP party at the Berkley Church (where the awards were held – yep, in a church!) so I glammed up and headed over to the venue a little early to get a chance to meet everyone before the actual ceremony started. That turned out to be a great idea, because there weren’t a ton of people at the VIP party, so it was easy to make my way over to people and introduce myself. As it turns out, most of the San Francisco queer porn circle was nominated for Feminist Porn Awards, so a bunch of them headed north to attend. I hung out with the amazingly awesome Jiz Lee, Syd Blakovich, Madison Young and Dylan Ryan, along with Courtney Trouble and I snagged a seat next to Trannywood’s Ian Sparks.

Hey there HotMovies4Her readers! FrzKey speaking, the newest addiction… affliction… addition – yeah that’s it – to the HotMovies4Her team. We’re back with part 2 of our Dinah ’09 adventure. We left off yesterday with the Indigo Girls concert and us getting ready to get out to the Hollywood party! After a quick change, we were all dolled up in our porno finery and returned to the Convention Center to get our party on and hang out with the lezzie ladies!
Total babes, I know! We hit the party hard and gave lots of ladies a little sticker love, which some of them returned with picture love.
Then the Porn Librarian and Jo tied a glow necklace to the bow on my dress, which I was not happy about. But instead of helping me, the PL posed for a picture! Boo!

Weeeee’re Back! After an extra-extended weekend of fun and sun, traveling and recovery, we HM4H ladies are finally back at our desks and ready to give you a rundown on the amazing adventure that was Dinah Shore. Ok, well Dinah Shore weekend really, not the actual Dinah Shore, who had nothing to do with lesbians at all (which is a total bummer for her). We are talking about the d. baucherous long weekend that has lezzies from around the world taking over Palm Springs, California. We started the weekend with a post about the opening party and how much fun we had dancing and preaching the porno gospel to the ladies, but that was seriously small potatoes once the rest of the women came into town and the real party began!
After a crazy ass wind storm on Friday during the day (seriously, there were overturned cars and fires!), the weather took ahold of itself and let us get to the Margaret Cho comedy hour, which was freaking hilarious. And because we were awesome VIP sponsor types, we got in early and planted our butts in the second row! Not only did we get Cho, the show included comics Jessica Kirson and Gina Yashere who were pee-in-your-pants funny (luckily we didn’t!). Margaret Cho’s time on stage included both comedy and her newly unleashed musical proclivities which include lots of acoustic guitar (my favorite!).
She even dueted with The Cliks frontman Lucas Silveira, which I will post a video of when I get it all set up on youtube. Holy crap is his voice ah-mazing!
After M.C., we went back to the hotel to relax and get ready for the White Diamonds party, which featured Katy Perry, who we were not all that interested in seeing to be perfectly honest (she kissed a girl, so what? I have too). The party itself was pretty exciting though.
It was at the Palm Springs Convention Center, a huge venue only a few blocks from our hotel. With lots o ladies shakin’ thier booties and go-go girls up on the poles, it was a total party paradise and perfect for our pervy selves to chat up the masses and hang out some cards for free porno minutes.

A topless coffee shop opened in Maine this week to, gasp, tons of media attention, and, of course, the town residents’ outrage. All for a little boob with your brew! I’m not sure what inspired this genious idea by owner Don Crabtree, but I can’t believe it hasn’t been done before. Not even in the Pacific Northwest. Not even in the ’90s when those huge coffee cups were all the rage. Not even though all the Friends frequented a coffee place called “Central Perk,” which, by the way, is such a perfect name for a topless coffee joint (way better than The Grand View Topless Coffee Shop, though it doesn’t beat around the bush).
Anyway, I’m pretty sure the world is a better place because it now exists. So much better, in fact, that I will refrain from making some awful breastmilk in your coffee joke.
Anyone know a cheap flight to Maine?

Porn for women may not be as abundant as porn geared for the guys (they’ll watch anything!), but as you ladies know from looking about this site, it is, in fact, way more of a reality than this comic suggests. Although unicorn sex does sound pretty awesome (by that I mean someone dressed as the magical steed, not a real unicorn – that’d be illegal!)!!
No matter what, this trumps Cathy anyday…
