Temperature play is super fucking sexy! I’m anemic and small so I’ve always been cold; even during mid-summer I’m the girl with the long sleeves and jeans on because even if it’s hot outside, I’m only there for two seconds before jumping into some over air conditioned locale that will leave me shivering. That’s why I love the winter – I’ve got complete control over the thermostat and I crank that fucker up! Indulging in personal orgies of warm every night after work, which spills over to weirdness, like me huddling in front of my heater eating gallons of Haagen Dazs coffee ice cream because my constant uncontrollable chill leads me to a fetish for being really hot and indulging in all those cold things I usually have to abstain from or freeze.
Enter the Touché Ice – essentially a vibrating Popsicle. The Touché Ice, comes with a little silicone cup and a silicone cap that when placed on the cup has the shape of a largish egg, and a little waterproof bullet vibe that inserts into the cap. Silicone, removable water proof vibe and ice – this must be the easiest toy to clean ever, which is a good thing because obviously the Touche Ice was meant to be shared. You fill the cup with water, take out the bullet vibe from the cap, put the cap on the cup and stick the whole thing in the freezer for 3 – 4 hours.
The instructions say 4 hours, but mine was ready in 3. They also suggest using boiling water if you want clear ice, but mine came out perfectly clear with cold tap water. The Touché Ice also comes with hints about how to flavor the ice – like a Popsicle – for added fun, or substitute chocolate for water and have a vibrating chocolate treat. Great ideas, but I stuck with the regular tap water for my run.
It came out of the freezer, not quite looking like it does on the box or the YouTube video; there was a little gap between the cap and the ice that was probably my fault for not filling the cap up far enough. Also, I found it was easier to get the ice out of the cup by squeezing the cup from the bottom (yay for pliable silicone) rather than peeling the cup off the ice. This squeezablity also came in handy when I was trying to get the bullet out of the cap, it’s a little hard to grasp on its own but the cap is really squishable so I just grasped it firmly and applied pressure to the opposite side till the bullets squirted right out.

Now we’ve all heard (or experimented) with really cold objects directly on skin before – think tongue to ice cold pole, so I didn’t want to take a chance with the Touché Ice directly on my most tender bits without some assurances it wouldn’t stick. My first thought was to use a lube, but I figured that since all my lubes are water based that wouldn’t keep them from freezing too. Instead I set up a nice hot bath, figuring that if I got stuck I could dip down into the hot water and unstuck quick and painlessly while enjoying the orgasmically warm water in contrast to the icy cold vibrating awesomeness.
Good plan right? Indeed, it was awesomeness! The feel of the ice on my skin while kneeling in the tub was amazing, though the vibrations of the bullet were definitely not as strong as the thing had been when not encased in silicone and ice. Then I had a brilliant idea – if it feels this good while I’m just kneeling in hot water, what about sitting in it and having that special contrast of super hot and cold at once!
This is where my plan and my ice broke down. It really was the most awesome of sensations and despite the weak vibrations I was pretty sure it wouldn’t take long to push myself over the edge with the play of hot and cold at the same time alone – and then the ice melted. Fast. Just a few moments in the tub and that huge ice cube that took me all night to make was just a tiny nubbin hanging onto the cap by just one tiny corner. Totally my bad, hot water always wins over ice cubes, heck cool water can melt ice pretty fast too but, damn.
I have to say that overall my experience with the Touché Ice was amazing! It inspires my imagination for all kind of additional fun activities I haven’t gotten to yet, but I think I’ll wait for the rest till summer, buy some silicone-based lube then turn off my air conditioning and hopefully get a little longer play time out of it.
Enjoy your own chills and thrills with the Touché Ice!
