System JO recently sent me a few samples of their flavored lube to check out, so I thought I’d share my findings, because lord knows you can never have enough info about lube!
The first thing you should know about this water-based lube is that it does not contain any sugar or artificial sweeteners. We’ve said it a million times before, but NEVER use lube that contains sugar unless you’re yearning for a yeast infection! Besides that, you’ll also be pretty excited to hear that there’s no aftertaste. While I’ve read that before in reviews and on the company’s website, I really didn’t believe it until I experienced it for myself. I’ve now tried 3 different flavors and haven’t been left with a bad taste yet.
I tried the Strawberry Kiss, Watermelon and Raspberry Sorbet, and they’re all pretty decent. I definitely liked the Strawberry best – it’s not super sweet and tastes like fake strawberry candy. I liked the Watermelon more than I expected, although it’s a little more overpowering than the Strawberry. My least favorite was the Raspberry Sorbet, which doesn’t taste bad, but is just too sweet for my taste. There are a few other flavors available, including Tangerine Dream, the one that intrigues me the most!
As far as performance, this is definitely the best flavored lube I’ve used. It’s long lasting, doesn’t get gross and sticky like some lesser products and washes off really easily. While I usually think of flavored lube as being kind of gimmicky, I could see myself using this one over and over again.
My only complaint is that one of the ingredients is glycerin. If you’re sensitive to it, and many women are, you may want to pass on this product. Of course, you could always break it out if you’re just planning on going down on your boy for a sweet treat for both of you!
If you’re looking for a flavored lube and don’t have issues with glycerin, I can definitely recommend this one.
