Memorial Day is coming up and that means that summer is just around the corner. For those of you who aren’t quite feeling it yet, I have just the thing to get you in the mood – surf erotica. Editor Neil Plakcy’s Surfer Boys showcases twenty hot stories that will take you to beaches across the globe where men are driven by two things: their love of the ocean and cock!
The stories in this book turned out to be more varied than I anticipated. I guess I figured it would just be dudes surfing and fucking, but each author takes a different angle which makes for a good read. I’m always pleased when an erotica book turns out to be more than just wanking fodder!
One of my favorites was Gavin Atlas’s Blue Star Boy. The narrator is on a cross-country sex tour – which is like the best idea ever – and one of his stops is inspired by a website that touts a Texas surfer/bottom who never says no to a hung top. Of course, it turns out that the website was set-up by a jealous ex, but that just means there’s more to this guy than an insatiable need for cock.
I’m not much of a beach girl, but I have to admit that the thought of an underground gay surf culture is pretty freaking hot. After finishing this collection, I’ll never look at the sun-kissed guys lugging their boards to the beach the same again.
While I haven’t read a ton of gay erotica in the past, I am definitely going to pick up more in the future. I might also have to spend a little more time wandering around those out of the way dunes at the beach this summer in hopes for a show!
Ps. the award for best author name goes to Bearmuffin!
