I’ll admit I’m not usually a fan of insertable toys. Dildos aren’t as much fun as the real thing; the rabbit style vibes I’ve tried have too much going on (do I really want something twisting in there at ninety degree angles to the base? Won’t that cause stretching, not goodness?) So when it comes to ‘happy me time’ I usually go for the clit stimulators – however when I got the chance to pick out this new toy, I went straight for Shaki Toys’ Remote Control Egg. My reasons were simple: I like trying new things now and again just in case my tastes have changed, I had a boring but noisy event, or twenty, to go to and a sadistic imp, hereafter known as Dave, eager to get his fingers on the switch – oh and did I mention this egg is wireless?

Straight out of the package and turned on, I was instantly nervous about the noise level as the bubble gum pink bullet emits a constant whir of activity. Once inserted, however, the noise level became so negligible that Dave had to put his head on my belly to hear it at all. As advertised on the box, it seems to have 10 functions including a couple undulations I found particularly fun. So, with toy in place, off we went – to a local strip club. In between games of pool (I lost all of them), drinks and four lap dances we experimented with the egg.

Held in my hand, the range on the egg was pretty good, around 10-15 feet. Once inserted, the range became considerably shorter, at times only a few inches directly above my navel seemed to work. It should have put a damper on the fun, but as my partner needed to get so close to effectively use the remote, it did open up many opportunities for paired play that might have been missed with a stronger signal. A neck nuzzle, a kiss on the check, all helped move Dave into place and made the vibrating sensation much more pleasurable for me. Unfortunately the shorter range also came with a sketchy signal and often there would be times that it was left on accidently.

Again the noise – totally disappeared. Even during the lap dances no one knew I was wearing the egg unless we told them. Of course a strip club is loud in general, but you should be good at your local bar – though maybe not the library or that snooty French place where even the waiters whisper. Getting it in was a little difficult; it’s about twice around the size of your average tampon so I recommend lots of your favorite lube to ease the process along. Once in it was about as comfortable as a tampon, except for one thing: the bottom of the egg has a string which is clasped by a little bit of metal, and that little bit of metal was uncomfortably scratchy to walk around with. If the noise didn’t give me away I was afraid that my discomforted waddle might! I’d recommend taking that bit off before putting your egg in.

All in all, I had a wonderful time testing this pink egg out – though I’d say it had more to do with sharing the experience than with the egg itself. I’m afraid I’m still looking for that insertable toy that I’ll crave for some alone time – but that doesn’t mean that the Shaki Toys Remote Control Egg isn’t a great toy! I’d just say I had more fun with it and my partner, sadistic though Dave may be, than I would have had alone with it and a good porno. So if you’re looking for something fun to try out with a partner I can’t emphasis enough how awesome this was. Even if you’re a little on the shy side and not ready to take it to the local bar, a shared bath, a long drive or a walk in the park are all great opportunities to enjoy this one and I’m sure you’ll think of more ideas!
