I had always wanted to try a rabbit vibrator. I heard they were the pinnacle of sex toys; that the orgasm was unlike anything I’d experienced before. I mean, there was an entire episode of Sex and the City devoted to Charlotte buying her first rabbit vibe and subsequently finding reasons NOT to leave the house. So, when the opportunity arose to order new toys for review, I decided one rabbit wasn’t enough. No, I was going to compare and contrast the two that caught my eye: the Rabbit Habit and the Decadent Indulgence. Here we go!

Rabbit Pearl

The toy is average size, roughly 4.5 inches in insertable length and it’s made out of high quality phthalate-free material. The battery casing was a little flimsy and it took me a while to get the two batteries to stay in place. They kept moving around which caused the vibrator to not work. It’s nothing a little tape around the base can’t fix. However, I did like that the control was only connected to the shaft via a long, skinny cord. It was really convenient to be able to set the controller next to me!

When I finally got the vibrator working, it was awesome. The full range of motion was great and I liked that the pearls spun while the actual shaft was spinning, too. I noticed that if I squeezed the shaft while the pearls were moving, they would stop spinning.

It took me almost no time at all before I reached orgasm and it was pretty mind blowing. I completely understood all the hype it received via Sex and the City.

The shaft and clit stimulator are controlled separately which is great because it makes the toy pretty versatile and not lumped into a certain category. I can choose how long it takes me to orgasm – or how quickly.

Decadent Indulgence

The Decadent Indulgence is a little more than an inch larger in size (six inches of insertable length) compared to the Rabbit Habit and is also made out of phthalate-free materials. The battery casing on this vibrator is also flimsy and slides off easily; however, it cannot be taped down because the controls are on the base so that makes handling a little difficult. The vibrations on this toy come in a variety of settings and strengths that can be adjusted to your liking. There are separate controls for the clit stimulator, the shaft, and pulsation settings for the overall vibration of the toy. The controls themselves are a little sensitive and can accidentally be bumped up or down while in the heat of the moment, which can throw you off course. Also, if you have a sensitive clitoris, the clit stimulator may be a little harsh on you on medium/high settings while the lower settings may not be strong enough.

The shaft itself is great for a g-spot orgasm and the pearls spin simultaneously as they do in the Rabbit Pearl. Changing the pulsation settings gives the sensation of active penetration similar to sexual intercourse which is very nice. The shaft is also a good size, and slightly larger than the average erect penis and I reached another mind-blowing orgasm in no time.

Unfortunately, with all these extra settings, the battery life tends to run out quickly. It’s also a little loud so it’s not great for shared quarters but could easily be drowned out with a television or music.

Overall, I preferred the convenience of the Rabbit Pearl controller to the Decadent Indulgence, but I liked the larger size of the Decadent Indulgence. However, both are great toys and it’s all about your preference and budget. I recommend a rabbit for every woman – just find the one that’s right for you!
