Honestly, I love me some vibrating action. Really, who doesn’t? Once you learn to relax and go with the sensation, it’s a great way to tease, titillate and just plain get off. There are just a couple problems with your average vibrator for a gal living with roommates: size, control, power, and noise. So I was tickled pink when I was handed the Pocket Rocket Jr. and asked to review this popular little vibrator.
At just about 2 inches long it really is tiny, just big enough to get a good grip on the plastic casing. Despite Jr.’s small size and the smooth plastic the case is made of, this little rocket isn’t hard to grasp and hold onto in the heat of the moment. The size also makes it less intimidating for partner play and the handy little string loop and rounded tip make it perfect for a little insertion play. Also since it’s so tiny, this rocket is perfect for the start of vacation season – it’s small enough to fit in both your pocket and your purse.
The Pocket Rocket Jr. is just one speed without any fancy oscillations or added bells and whistles and as such, it comes with no instructions. This might seem like a minus to the more experienced toy user, but I actually find it very handy. This tiny vibe doesn’t need the instruction booklet and with its simple operation, it’s perfect for those rushed moments of pleasure crammed in between major sightseeing outings. Noise wise, Jr. is probably the quietest vibe I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. Which means you won’t wake the next door neighbors with the buzzing, maybe not even the other girl you’re sharing a room with in Cancun.
Pocket Rocket Jr. only has one failing that I could see and that’s the batteries. Jr.’s batteries seem to wear down fast and the machine only comes with one of them. They are irregular micro batteries that I don’t honestly recall ever seeing in my local drug store or super market either. Which means either you’re going to have to plan ahead and find and lay away a good store of batteries to have this tiny toy at your absolute beck and call – or you might actually have to buy a new one every few uses. At less than $20 a toy, it’s almost cheap enough to be disposable, but not quite.
Overall this little vibe definitely gets my vote for most perfect travel vibrator ever! Maybe I just need a vacation, but Pocket Rocket Jr. definitely had me day dreaming about all kinds of trips that it would be great to have a little Jr. action during, if only I hadn’t worn his little battery down already.
