Pjur Aqua

Eros Aqua Lubricant

Who ever knew it would be so hard to review lube? I’ve been testing water-based products for quite some time and the good news is that I officially have a favorite! Out of the ten or so products I’ve put to good use lately, I’d have to say that Pjur Aqua is the best for me.

Because I have a lot of silicone toys, a good water-based lube is an essential in my home. There are a few common complaints you’ll hear about water-based lube including that it can be sticky and that it tends to dry up over time. My favorite thing about Aqua is that it isn’t sticky at all. It’s a really thin product (which means it’s not a good lube for anal play) that really enhances a woman’s natural lubrication. In my experiences, and there have been many, I haven’t found stickiness to be a problem. Worst case scenario, I’ve had to reactivate the product with a little saliva – which can be quite fun anyways!

Another thing that has me loving Aqua is that it is odorless, tasteless, and isn’t going to ruin the nice sheets you splurged on. After using this lube, I’ve gone down on my girlfriend without even noticing that she’s coated in Pjur goodness. A lot of lube is rather unpleasant in your mouth, so the fact that this one often goes unnoticed is a damn miracle!

One last good note is that it is safe to use with latex condoms – so there’s no excuse not to play it safe. I personally haven’t tried it, being a partnered, monogamous lesbian, but figured I should at least point it out. If you’ve tried it out, let me know how the experience was for you!

Like most good things, Aqua is a little pricey compared to some other lubricants, but you will find that just a few drops will do the trick and in the long run it’s well worth a few extra bucks. If you’ve ever used an inferior product and ended up with a sticky mess, you’ll no doubt be willing to spend a little more to not deal with that again.

Personally, I prefer silicone lube and admit that Aqua isn’t quite on par with Pjur Eros – my favorite lube of any kind. However, since I have hundreds of dollars worth of silicone toys that will be ruined if I use silicone lube with them, I am quite fond of Aqua and recommend it.

Get wet and wild with Pjur Aqua!
