I lusted after this toy the very second I saw it listed. A rabbit type vibe that doesn’t do that horrible twisty thing that I hate? Gimme gimme! But I know what you’re thinking, if it doesn’t do that twisty thing, then what does it do? It ripples, like a wave, which is where the name Passion Wave comes from.
There is one thing I give most rabbit type vibes kudos for doing oddly well – with them all lubbed up, all their settings turned and held parallel to the pussy they do a really great job at simulating oral. I’m mentioning this because it’s this oral simulation that really helps me with insertion of some of these monsters. The Passion Wave Butterfly is ten inches long, a little under half of that is controller but there’s still five plus inches of insertable shaft and that shaft is five and a half inches around. That’s a big toy to get in without a little warm up.
I’ll admit I experienced a little trouble with premature cumming trying to get warmed up for the experience (dammit Hitachi stop hogging all the orgasms), but once I did get my new Passion Wave in and turned on that ripple effect – well it was worth the extra effort. Unlike the rather invasive opening twisty motion I get from other rabbits, the Passion Wave’s ripple effect was similar to having someone with particularly talented hands playing with me. Once I managed to slide some of the shaft in – which was the only hard part – those ripples were amazing at helping me relax further and before I knew it, the little butterfly clit stimulator was pushing me over the edge!
Now the real down side – the Passion Wave Butterfly isn’t made out of silicone, but phthalates free TPR. TPR can’t be disinfected with boiling water the way you can with silicone (though since this is a vibe, it couldn’t be boiled anyway),so it can’t be disinfected. You can use good old soap and water to clean this toy. Thankfully it’s waterproof to aid with that, but I’d suggest using a condom to make cleaning a little easier on yourself. It’s also loud – Hitachi loud – but unlike the Hitachi’s easily dismissed white noise type buzz, the Passion Wave makes this kind of mechanical shriek that might well have a concerned roommate knocking on your door making sure your electronic beauty products haven’t revolted. You’ll also need three AA batteries on hand for this little marvel; it doesn’t come with its own.
If you’re the type of girl that’s tired of the other twisty rabbit vibes, I’d definitely recommend checking out the Passion Wave as a nice alternative!
I hate loud vibes! Sometimes even awesome toys go unused because, well the sweet sound of a lawn mower just isn’t sexy. Nice review!
