Now that I’m a grown up with a house, investments and furniture that I didn’t find on the side of the road or salvation army, I’m a little more conscious of how I take care of things. Sadly, that means spontaneous couch sex comes with a side of guilt about ruining a piece of furniture that cost more than my first car. If you who are in the same boat, let me introduce you to my new second favorite blankie, the Fascinator™ posh throe!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this throw, let me explain what makes it different that the other blankets you have lying around the house. Hidden between the folds of the Fascinator is a moisture-proof barrier that prevents any and all liquids from passing through. That means you can protect your couch, carpet or expensive sheets from body fluids, lube or massage oil. Over the past month or so, we’ve put it the test over and over and never been disappointed. What’s even better is that the barrier is not even noticeable! I was kind of expecting a tarp that had been covered, but besides being a little thicker than a lot of blankets, you wouldn’t even know there’s a magic middle to this thing.

At 54 x 60 inches big, the throw is large enough to accommodate a couple who are getting down and dirty. One side is made of soft, plush material and the other is a silky satin, so it also adds another sensation to your play while protecting whatever you happen to be fucking on. I’ve opted for the plush side in these cold winter months, but I expect the satin side to be nice and cool once it warms up!

The main reason I love this blanket is that I can simply throw it the washer when it’s time to clean up. This is way better than getting out the carpet cleaner or taking my duvet down to the dry cleaners. I haven’t washed it a million times, but it looks just like new so far!

Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased with the Fascinator Posh Throe – it does exactly what it’s advertised to do and is actually a much nicer product than I imagined.
