Since we’re all being bombarded with Valentine’s Day crap I thought I’d use today’s Mixtape Rewind to break down love, Porn Librarian style.

So, we’ve all been in the magical place where everything is right in the world and life and love are full of possibilities. Maybe you’ve just gotten home from your first sleepover or perhaps you finally managed to say hello to that cute barista. It doesn’t matter, because it makes you feel like a kid again.

It turns out your lucky enough to have turned your crush into a relationship! You start to say “we” instead of “me.” You plan things for the future – it could be trip in two months or a kid. It feels like nothing could go wrong and maybe you’re right.

Sadly, this is where the road that we’ve all traveled down splits. You either grow old together or you start over again. Fortunately, both options are full of opportunity and great songs to relate to. I guess this is where you have to pick your own ending to the story.

It doesn’t matter if you’re spending today with the love of your life, a group of friends or your cat – embrace the roller coaster that is love and appreciate all you’ve learned along the way, even if things always seem to end in heartbreak.
