Tomorrow is Widener University’s Careers In Sexuality Conference and guess who they asked to do a workshop on alternative careers in the sexuality field?  ME, that’s who!

So, tomorrow morning I will be presenting my workshop “From PowerPoint to Porno: Taking on an Alternative Career in Sexuality, Post Graduate Studies” to the bunch of folks that are interested because I used “porn” in the title.  I kid, I kid. 

I’m actually really excited to be presenting, not only because I get to talk about my job and how awesome it is, or because I get to preach the gospel of the porno, but because there isn’t a ton of talk about careers outside of education and clinical work in the Widener Human Sexuality Education Program.  It makes sense because it is an education and clinical program, but still, I’m happy to see a little smut thrown into the mix.  Especially if that smut tosser is me!

My favorite part of the conference process so far (it’s the first conference I’m presenting at!) was definitely writing my bio.  Take a look:

J.D. is a Philadelphia-based new media sex educator and sexuality writer. Coming into the field with a desire to educate outside the classroom, J.D. earned her Masters of Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University and now works online, creating a sex-positive community with HotMoviesForHer.com, a video-on-demand adult movie site specifically for women. With a focus on pleasure education and queer sexuality, J.D. spends her days making sure that every person is experiencing the most sexual pleasure they can, as well as baking, sewing, crafting and pretty much doing anything else that involves her hands.
