U.K. Trumps U.S.A. – Reason #143

Chlamydia Aint Pretty-ia!

Chlamydia Ain't Pretty-ia!

To combat their increasing Chlamydia rates, the U.K. is allowing the antibiotic that treats Chlamydia to be sold over-the-counter.  While the patient seeking the drugs must be over 16 and will still need proof of diagnosis, the treatment will not be far easier for people to access.  The mail back kit test results will even have tear offs to give to partners so they can get treatment too.  Can you even imagine!?! A government that proactively deals with sexually transmitted infections and a health system that works with the patients to get them well.  Pure craziness, I know.  I wonder what’s next, access to healthcare for all?  Pigs would fly!  Ok, enough with the snarkiness.  Find out more info here.
