Happy New Year! 2010 is finally here and January is already in mid-swing. By now most of us have vowed and failed at our New Year’s resolutions, creating a headache around the whole ordeal. This year I’ve decided to forgo the resolution rush and take my time with deciding what works for me and how to really achieve maximum J.D. awesomeness. So, twelve days into this new year, I’ve finally figured out what 2010 will mean to me and the top five things that I hope to get going in the months to come. And stick or fail… at least I have my porno!
Be More Active: Whether it’s using that gym membership that’s collecting dust or just taking the stairs a few more times a week, I’m hoping that 2010 is the year of incorporating more physical activity into my daily life. Kinda of like how these sporty girls are doing it… |
Manage Debts and Save Money: After finishing grad school and deferring my loans for a year, in 2010 I hope to actually start the years-long process of finally paying the government back. Well, that and add some cash to my feeble savings account… though I’m not sure if both are possible at the same time. Either way – Show Me The Money! |
Relax/Stress Relief: While my life is pretty calm compared to other people’s, I still find myself stressing out over the little things (see above). So, I’ve decided to challenge myself to chill out this year and see if I can’t learn to relax. Obviously that means I need to spend more time on the receiving end of massages… |
Spend More Time With My Friends: Life gets busy and months can go by before I even realize that the only contact I’ve made with some friends is letting them know that I “like” their Facebook status. Bo-ring! This year I am going to try harder to skip over the social networking and SMS communicating and actually call my friends – using that archaic iPhone app – the phone! Friends don’t let friends… stay out of touch! |
Learn Something New: I love the idea of learning something new everyday and now that I am out of school I find myself slipping into a comfortable routine of watching TV and reading blogs after work. Sure, there can be an educating component to each of those activities, but now that 2010 is here, I hope to spend more time going out into the world and getting my hands dirty… or at least tied up. |
Happy New Year!
xoxo
