Can you seriously believe it is the last week of 2010? Either can we! But in honor of it being the end of the year, we figured we’d bring you the top five flicks that each of us enjoyed reviewing this year. We watched so many movies in 2010 and going through the archived reviews brought back all of the heat and excitement of when we wrote each piece. It was honestly a challenge picking only five! So, without further ado, here are our top five favorite flicks reviewed in 2010!

Auditions 31 – Israeli Auditions: If you’re a fan of perfect men, you’ll be happy to hear that Lucas has released the audition tapes from their time in Israel. And don’t worry – this isn’t lame interviews and JO scenes. Lucas Audition tapes are hot and hardcore and, in this case, packed full of very pretty dudes. |

The Devil In Miss Jones – The Resurrection: How can you go wrong when you take a woman as amazing as Belladonna and feature her in the latest movie from a classic line of films! In this one, Bella gets to show off her acting chops as a journalist who has plans to make it big but runs into a little trouble after making a deal with the devil, who is played by the gorgeous Savannah Sampson. |

Tight Places – A Drop of Color: Holy crap is this a good movie! As all the Reel Queer movies do, Tight Places turns porn on its ear and removes all the boundaries of mainstream porn, bringing marginalized communities to the forefront in the sexiest way possible. This particular flick features an entire cast of queer folks of color – presenting an amazing hot array of sexuality – minus exploitation or some of the weird dynamics that mainstream porn can have (and I don’t mean all mainstream porn.) |

TRU – A XXX Parody: One of the highlights for me was finally watching Tara get served by Jason Stackhouse. If there’s one thing that girl needs, it’s a grade A fucking and who better to serve it up than the boy she’s crushed on for years! Tara is played by Misty Stone, who is fantastic and I imagine Tru Blood fans are going to love seeing this played out in porno land. Overall, this is a must see for fans of the show and one I think just about anyone would enjoy. It’s fun, sexy and a little gory – what more could a fang banger ask for? |

Handcuffs: While this one is only seven minutes long, it’s definitely one of the hottest things I’ve seen this year. Olga Blanco is amazing as a woman on a blind date who notices a handsome couple enter the bar and is far more intrigued in the fact that Natalia Paris is handcuffed than her boring companion. I loved seeing the way the Dom takes care of his lady. Watching him offer her a sip of martini and share a cigarette is such an intimate moment and Lust does a great job of presenting their relationship dynamics in just a few quick shots. |

River Rock Women’s Prison: Not just you’re average “women-in-prison” flick, this 2+ hour adventure takes us through the steamy encounters and racy power dynamics going on inside the walls River Rock Women’s Prison, complete with amazing sets and stellar acting. The plot-heavy storyline is even spot on (think Shawshank Redemption good, but with sex!). Seriously, Triangle really did the industry justice with this one. I mean really, it’s not that often that I talk about how much I enjoyed the acting and film editing in a porn. |

Tristan Taormino’s Rough Sex 2: It takes an amazing movie to get me all tingly before I even hit play, and this time I have only two words for you: Rough Sex. Rough Sex 2, actually, as in Tristan Taormino’s Rough Sex 2, the second installment of her revolutionary porn series that brings the real fantasies of the actual performers to the screen and rattles the lines between reality and fiction. I give this movie two raging thumbs up. Watch this movie. You won’t be sorry! |

Sugar High Glitter City: The directing/producing duo of Shar Rednour and Jackie Strano is fucking fabulous. These two can seriously create some deliciously dirty dyke magic on screen. Each scene features super hot lezzie ladies really fucking – with raw passion and real orgasms. They work butch/femme dynamics in subtly, in a way that lets you know this is not just an act for the camera. They also make sure to bring in the brightly colored cocks to emphasize that indeed, DYKES are fucking! Man, oh man, subversion is so fucking sexy! |

Open Invitation: A Real Swinger’s Party In San Francisco: Starting off as a scripted, plot-heavy porno, this flick follows an in-a-rut couple (James Deen and India Summer) as they accidentally stumble into the sexy underbelly of the swingers/open relationship scene in San Francisco. Once the story is nailed as firmly as all of its players (heh), the director switches gears and integrates a real SF swinging party into the mix, with non-porn people and industry pros fucking alongside each other. Of course the entire scenario was something decidedly San Francisco – the sex positive capital of the west. Seriously, there aren’t many places in the world like the city by the bay. |

Deep Throat: Overall, Deep Throat was totally unexpected in a completely awesome way. I was waiting for a dated classic that lived up to all the gasping and hype of how obscene it was said to be at the time (1972), but what I got was a hilariously awesome oldie but goodie that I definitely recommend for people to spend some time with. Think of it like a history lesson – but with way more head! |
