Welcome to Recap 2 of our awesome time preaching the porno gospel down in Palm Springs at The Dinah 2012. In our first rehash we dished about heading to the desert and ringing in the weekend at the opening party. This part two is all about Friday at the TGIF Pool Party and The Dinah White Party!
Thank goodness that the TGIF Pool Party didn’t start until noon on Friday, because if you recall in our last recap, we had downed some Five Hour Energy drinks the night before and stayed up waaaaay past our bedtimes, wired and stuffing bags full of porno. Not that we slept in really, but after a junk food binge at 2 am, you definitely need to have a good breakfast before having any fun in the sun. Oh, and before you do anything, get your blogging on!
Once we got our fill of coffee, eggs and, of course, bacon, we headed over to the pool to get our cabana ready for action. Yep, this year we decided to go with a cabana to be right in the action and have more of a chance to chat with the ladies about hot, dirty fun. Instead of just having a table as usual, we went with awesome laminated posters from some of our favorite lesbian and queer porn companies – Triangle Films, Reel Queer Productions and Dana Dane Productions. Pretty cute, right? Along with handing out porno cards, buttons, vibrators from Good Vibrations and porno DVDs from Triangle Films, we gave away little sport bags that said “I Heart Girl Porn” on them. How adorable and functional, right? Like take this lady – she wouldn’t have been able to dance and shake her booty nearly as well with her hands full of stuff, right?
I’m so glad we could make this party easier for her (and all the other folks that got to watch her shake it unencumbered by pool necessities). And here is our Ginger Leigh passing out bags and letting the ladies know about all the fun freebies.
Yep, it was a whole day full of sun, fun, chatting about dirty movies, handing out swag and watching drunk lesbians shake it to thumping pop music. It was definitely the blast it sounds like, but we also workin’ hard! I mean, just look at this cross-marketing I did with Curve Magazine – one of the places that HM4Her advertises…
What can I say – I love incorporating temporary tattoos into my real ones! The whole pool party was super fun and we got to offer up our dirty wares to lots and lots of women (which sounds SO much pervier than it actually was). After a bunch of hours at the pool, it was time for us to head back to our rooms, grab some dinner and get ready for the big white party!!
We decked ourselves out in our fancy white finery (um, I wore a black dress because I’m a party pooper, and white is not my color – aka. I’m like a 3-year-old get my clothes dirty without even doing anything, so white is a bad choice for me) and headed to the Riviera ballroom, where the party was already in full effect.
Seriously, these women do not take the dress code lightly – nearly everybody was sporting white! Ginger and Jo did a much better job than I did.
Aren’t they the cutest? Obviously not as cute as our blow up doll friend, who also made an appearance, complete with tons of ladies’ signatures.
You can’t really tell the scope of just how huge the party was by these pictures, but I am gonna keep trying by posting more and more. It was a sea of white clothes and gyrating women. What more can you ask for??
And lastly, Ginger sums up the whole day by letting us know exactly how awesome things were going.
We stayed as long as we could before heading back to our rooms in our stocking feet (heels are a killer after dancing!) and falling into bed to do it all again the next day! Stay tuned for Recap 3!
