And by hot, I mean humid.  Humid like New Orleans, in fact. 

This week New Orleans is welcoming sex educators, clinicians and academics from around the world to the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists’ (AASECT) annual conference “The Rhythm of Our Roots: 40 Years of Sexuality Education and Health Celebrated Through Song, Story and Science.” 

And guess who’s goin?  Yup, this girlie porno pervert/very academic human sexuality masters student!  And I can’t wait!  I love the idea that for professional growth, I get to go to a conference that has workshops about the G-Spot and Tantra and sex toys, oh my!!  Plus, I’m pretty excited to learn something new and not have to write a paper about it.  I’m also really looking forward to the Tribute to Candida Royalle - the queen of porn for women, and hanging out with sex writer and filmmaked extraordinare, Jamye Waxman.   Aaand  Betty Dodson will be there!!  Holy crap!  I first learned about masurbation from one of her books when I was a kid and now she’ll be in front of me, presenting one of the Plenary Sessions.  It’s all about going full circle, people.  I will secretly be thanking her from my chair.

Anyway, that’s where I’ll be starting Wed. – getting my knowledge on with some of the top people in the sexuality field!   But don’t miss me too hard, I’ll be sure to bring back all sorts of interesting tidbits and whatnot from the Big Easy!
