Shine Louise Houston is one of favorite queer porn directors. Ok, fine, she’s one of our favorite directors ever - in queer porn, straight porn, non-porno, what have you. We are TOTALLY smitten with all the awesome raw and real work her company Pink and White Productions seems to churn out effortlessly.  But we are not alone.  Apparently all of San Francisco is crushing on this Bay Area filmmaker extraordinare, according to an interview the SF Weekly posted online yesterday.  I know my claims may sound a little exaggerated, but seriously, look at how she thinks about her work, and you tell me you aren’t super excited to see her films.

Every other genre of film conforms to a certain visual language, so why can’t porn? Why should viewers have to suffice with long takes, single shots, and awkward camera movement?… The porn audience as a whole is getting smarter.
