Lady bits speakers.  What a way to start a Monday, huh?  I’m not sure how I feel about this – my women’s studies side is urging me to send a big ‘fuck you!’ for objectifying female bodies and turning women into something to be used… but my other side is thinking that this speaker set is actually pretty cool.  The artist, Bob Turek, current work is ”focused on transforming the way we view the objects we make music with,” which I think is neat and it seems like the point is more working with random objects than specifically targeting female bodies.  Plus, I like that the cable jack is where her vag would be.  Other than the belly button, it’s the only acceptable place.  And plugging into the button wouldn’t work so well.

Either way, it’s not a cool as Teddy Ruxpin, but I guess it will do.
