Science and I have never really gotten along. It may have been all those C’s and D’s in high school ,but we just don’t seem to see eye to eye. Unless it comes to sex, that is. Chemistry? Only if you’re talkin’ about how it helps when people are getting it on. Physics? The velocity of a good thrust. And I’m sure I don’t need to get into Biology and Anatomy – my head will explode! In fact, the first time I never got an A in anything remotely science-y was my grad Biology of Human Sexuality class. I aced that AND walked away with a few, um… ”lesson plans” to try out after class.
Anyway, science has been doing me right recently. I might even go as far as to say I kind of like it. Woah! So , here are a couple of cool medical and scientific/research tidbits I’ve found in the last few days that totally get me ready to get back into school mode to get my papers done!
- This doctor apparently goes in to do a partial hysterectomy and what does he find? Ovulation going on at that exact moment! How cool is that?!? Here are some of the best pictures of the process ever taken. I can’t help but imagine the clearest POP sound when the egg comes out. Like an old Batman episode! (via Jezebel)
- Scientific studies are important when you want to know as much as possible about a specific topic. And who doesn’t want to know everything they can about jerking off? During Masurbation Month last month, Gay.com surveyed their readers to find out exactly how they get off. I didn’t participate in the initial survey, but something about reading the results has me wanting to go do some empirical research on my own time. Mmmmhmmm. Check out fleshbot for a round up of the results!
Thanks science, for getting a little more interesting – or at least dirtier – as time goes by.
