While I wouldn’t say that all porn is true to life (it’s all about the fanasties), there are some dirty flicks that grab their ideas right from what’s happening in the world. In “Law & Order” speak, their topics are ’ripped from the headlines’ (a phrase which I love). Sure they usually don’t have anything to do with the event or trend, but more often than not, the pornographer does a phenomenal job of marketing the shit out of what the movie is based on and definitely more often than not, I am too curious not to watch. Here’s a list of my favorite current event/trend/headline based fuck flicks. Enjoy!

Who’s Nailin’ Paylin? – Adventures Of A Hockey MILF: Who’s Nailin’ our Alaskan Governor? Apparently anyone who can get their hands on this frisky MILF (or GILF now, actually). Last year during the election, the whole country was surprised when the republican candidate McCain chose Sarah Palin to run on the ticket as VP. Palin’s perky hockey mom personality quickly won her supporters, critics and a place in porno history. |

Coctomom: Having a ton of offspring isn’t usually something that gets you spoofed in porn, but I guess having them all at the same time makes you porn worthy… though it makes no sense to me. I will say that Vannah Sterling totally looks like the real Octomom! Good job with the casting! |
Gov Love: The Eliot Splitz-Her Story: While I don’t always agree that politician sex scandals need to be as scandalous as the media makes them, I will say this Governor’s love for sex workers was a porn plot born in heaven! |
Porn Star Idol: Adam may have lost (much to the country’s chagrin – especially my mother’s), but American Idol is always a win, so it was only fitting that porn join in the fun. And we don’t have to listen to Paula, so it really IS a win-win! |
MyPlace – A Space For Whores: I know, I know, MySpace has gone the way of Friendster and has become totally irrelevant in the face of, well, Facebook, but social networking sites, whichever ones that are popular will totally be current and all over the place… at least until we come up with a crazy new way to stalk our crushes, exes and high school rivals. |
