Happy Friday from sunny Palm Springs where The Porn Librarian and I are just beginning our crazy Dinah Shore 2009 weekend!  We are geared up to hand out all the sexy things the modern dyke needs to stay wet and dry at the same time.  Free minute porn cards and I <3 Girl Porn boxers for around the pool.  Let’s face it, we just wanted have a reason to look at some bottoms.  Can you blame us?

We decided that this week’s Mixtape Rewind would be a little different.  Instead of highlighting some of the musical acts that are going to be here this weekend (The Indigo Girls, Lady GaGa, Katie Perry), we thought we’d celebrate the woman behind the weekend, Ms. Dinah Shore. 

Contrary to popular belief, Dinah wasn’t gay and had nothing to do with lesbians at all actually.  She was an old school singer who really liked women’s golf and created a tournament in her name (so THAT’s where the lezzies comin, I get it now!).  And somehow the weekend turned into the dyke debauchery that it is today.

So, Dinah Shore, we salute you, for having nothing to do with lesbians, but still giving us a reason to drink by the pool and check out cute girls.
