Happy Hanukkah!  Welcome to the eighth evening of Hanukkah, the last night.  If you don’t know by now, we are celebrating this year’s festival of lights porno-style and talking up some of our favorite sexy Semites.

This last night of Hanukkah 2009 goes to Vivid founder Steven Hirsch, the man attributed with changing the face of modern porn.  Not only did Hirsch set Vivid apart back in 1984 by focusing on shooting on film, he instituted the concept of the Vivid Girl, which mirrors the contract stars of the golden age of cinema in Hollywood.  With his vision and direction, Steven Hirsch has created one empire (which also includes Vivid Ed, the educational arm of the company, which I love dearly!) that will go down in the textbooks… well, when we get porno textbooks.
