It’s no secret that everyone here at HotMoviesForHer has a total crush on feminist porn director Erika Lust. She consistently offer us thoughtful, sexy movies that capture the beauty and power of sexuality, and instead of churning out movie after movie (though that’s not a bad thing either!), Lust takes her time getting every last detail just right and making each video as amazing as possible. Seriously – everything this lady touches turns to pure porno gold.
Alright, I know that I am gushing a little bit, but honestly, look at this woman’s repertoire and you tell me that you wouldn’t be waxing a little poetic. And clearly we aren’t the only ones who feel this way, because Lust has won THREE Feminist Porn Awards “Movie Of The Year” Awards, including the 2012 title for her latest film, Cabaret Desire.
While we were both in Toronto for the awards a few weeks back, I had the great fortune of sitting down with Erika Lust for a chat about the work she does, her ideas about the industry in general and women’s sexuality in general. And lucky for you all, I got the whole thing on video. In fact, the interview was so long, we had to break the interview into four parts!
Before I post the video of part 1, I really have to say that Erika Lust is one of the sweetest, most down-to-earth folks I’ve ever had the pleasure of interviewing. She was nervous about being in front of the camera, but once she got going, her passion and obvious love for what she does took over and her amazing energy lit up the whole screen. See for yourself!
