Dana DeArmond isn’t kidding when she says she is the Internet’s girlfriend. Before even taking her place in front of the porno industry video cameras, DeArmond had already wowed a dedicated fan base of more than 830,000 MySpace friends and cemented her place in adult history by changing the way that performers and fans communicate, treating fans as peers/friends and not just people who are paying to watch her get off. Along with a couple hundred movies under her belt, DeArmond has rocked the director’s chair as well, bringing her unique fan interactions – and new faces – to the Vivid screen. All in all, this awesomely alt/mainstream/fetish/what-have-you porno princess is fabulous to watch, follow and totally enjoy.

1. How (and when) did you get started in the industry?
My first shoot was for hogtied.com in Feb. 2004. I had applied to kink.com because I was interested in being on fuckingmachines.com and they hired me immediately for bondage shoots on their network of sites.

2. If you weren’t in the adult industry, what would you be doing?
I would be working in some sort of entertainment. I’ve been a performer my entire life, I couldn’t imagine doing something different.

3. What’s the best thing you’ve learned or best advice you’ve received from industry?
Unlike a lot of people I told my folks that I was thinking about applying for work on an adult website BEFORE actually doing it.  I’m lucky to have a very open minded family and my parents both gave me the same advice; to not do anything that makes me feel uncomfortable.  I live by that advice every day, inside and out of work.

4. What’s the funniest thing that’s happened while filming?
I was filming for Jay Sin and I tried to get up on the back of a couch and I fell backwards and rolled out of the side of the gazebo.  Luckily no one was hurt.

5. What do you think is the biggest  misconception about women in the industry?
That they are stupid, easy, diseased nymphomaniacs who are being victimized.
It’s all very insulting.  We are all adults and we know exactly what we are doing.   I feel some people don’t respect porn stars as entertainers because they can’t see past the fantasy.  I am only human, I have feelings and I don’t like being talked to like a piece of trash.

6. What did you do today?
Took a bath. Ran the dishwasher. Filled out this interview.

7. What would you rather have done today?
Gone to Disneyland.

8. If you could do a movie with anyone (living or brought back from the dead) who would it be?
Abraham Lincoln.  He’s tall and bearded. I think it would be hot to be molested by our 16th president.

9. Who is your favorite adult performer?
Can I say myself or is that immodest? I’m just going to say myself anyway.  Dana DeArmond.  830,000+ Myspace friends can’t be wrong!

10. You’ve got 20 bucks left to your name; what would you do with it?
Turn it into a magnet for other 20 dollar bills.  Duh.

11. If you were president, what’s the first thing you’d change?
I would have people need to get a license for having kids.  You need a license to cut hair in this country; it should be the same for breeding.  Pass the test and you can pop one out.  Fail and you have to go back to summer school.

12. What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done?
My very existence on this planet is pretty darn awkward.  I can’t pin point one thing. And if I could I wouldn’t want to repeat it.

13. Which is your favorite project that you’ve worked on?
I really enjoyed directing for Vivid Alt. Dana DeArmond Does The Internet and Dana DeArmond’s Role Modeling are still some of my most popular titles.  The fans love them and it makes me very happy because I put a lot of hard working directing and producing them.

14. If you could have 1 superpower what would it be?
Camera eyes.  I wish some of the shit I see was recorded with my eyes, saved on a chip in my brain and able to uploaded to YouTube.  That would be amazing.

15. Meat or veggie?
Square meals

16. What is your favorite book?
Not a big reader.  Does “the internet” count as a book?

17. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Lately is text spelling.  “u” for “you” “r” for “are”  HATE IT.

18. What is your best piece of sex advice for women?
Know thy self

19. What is your favorite adult movie?
The mainstream movie Secretary, I consider it porn.

20. Tell me one thing you’ve never told anyone else.
If I haven’t told anybody, it’s probably a secret.  Sorry.
