Studio: After Hours Cinema Category: Grindhouse

And now for something completely, ok, slightly different. A friend of a friend pointed out that we had all these beyond awesome Grindhouse movies and I jumped at the chance to review the first one, “Women in Cell Block 7.” These Grindhouse type films are skimpy on the sex but big on the plot and I do love me some plot heavy movies plus this particular film has all the illustrious charm that I think of when I think of ‘women in prison’ themed porn right down to the uncomfortable finger searches in the opening credits!

The first girl on girl love scene was highly stylized. Closer to what you’d get on a late night HBO series than what this jaded porn reviewer is used to, and short. Maybe five minutes long all total. But never fear there’s lots of titillation and tease in this video. I can honestly envision this VHS tape of this movie worn a little thin in places, in the collections of some Grindhouse enthusiast. After the first there’s little holding this film back and soon even the guards are going for a little muff diving! There are prisoner fights where they strip each other naked and shady prison deals that go down requiring all kinds of interesting ‘favors,’ there’s even a hetero scene thrown in towards the end.

To be honest though the whole thing was more of a nostalgia trip than it was a sexy strip. The women are hot and they do remain unclothed or scantily clothed a reasonable amount of time but the sexy stays at an HBO late night series kind of level so you’d have to be really quick to get off to this one. Unless you get off on catfights – I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hotter all girl fight scene before. Oh I’ve seen topless women slathered in various types of slippery goo have a delicate go at each other in a carefully designated area – I’ve never seen fully clothed and un-oiled women attempt to rip off each other’s clothes with such a fervor and wantonness though. There were knees and elbows’ flying every which way and somehow the scene strikes me as the hottest of the movie.

All in all I’d definitely recommend it for a lazy summer afternoon. It was fun to watch though with all that’s out there today, maybe not so great to get off to. So I’d definitely say that this is definitely a movie to enjoy a summer evening with and it’s soft-core enough that you can enjoy it with a few friends.
