Tristan Taormino has never let me down. Whether she is bringing us instructional guides or straight up porno, her movies are always thoughtful, engaging and so freakin’ hot you need a cold shower to recover. Before even watching this latest release, I knew it was going to be amazing. I mean really, five popular performers playing out their own rough sex fantasies with the partners of their choosing – how could that NOT be amazing?!? Especially when it has people like Sasha Grey, Satine Phoenix and Derrick Pierce in it!
The movie starts off with each of the performers talking about their definition of rough sex, which translates out to five different definitions, as it should. No two people have the exact same definition when it comes to sex and it’s really awesome that Tristan Taormino makes sure to really stress that and the importance of communication from the get go. I love seeing these strong female performers talk about what actually turns them on and not be ashamed, no matter how dirty and rough their fantasies. I think even seeing women talk openly about “taboo” sex will help other women (and men) feel more comfortable talking about their own desires. And knowing that makes this movie extra sexy to me!
Scene two really blew me away from the start. Satine Phoenix is super smart and talks about all the different kinds of rough sex she likes, including why she likes them. Listening to her explain that she wants rope marks all over her body because it acts as a reminder of the experience she just had is so amazingly hot. It makes me almost yearn to see her tied up tightly. And Derrick Pierce’s tough, hard exterior gives way to a passionate, controlled softie with a totally hot kink streak. It’s hard not to get really into it when Satine says things like “the way he looks at me makes me want to submit.”
I’m not sure if I needed the sex part of the scene started off with Satine leaning on a rock and peeing, but I’m willing to let it go for some hot roughness. The story is that Satine Phoenix is stranded in the desert, when luckily Derrick Pierce comes along and hangs out with her until the tow truck comes. Lots of flirting ensues, which leads to smooching and eventually the good stuff. Phoenix plays out the fantasy so well, acting just the right amount of awkward and anxious.
It’s at the blow job where things really start to heat up. Pierce brings just the right amount of power and domination to keep it totally hot and exciting, but not feel scary at any time. Though I know it’s consensual and totally wanted, it still makes me a little nervous when it gets hardcore rough.
My favorite part of this scene is when Satine is using the frame of the Jeep she is stranded with as leverage to ride Derrick even harder. It is just so perfect… plus it affords some pretty hot angles.
Ok, I won’t ruin the whole thing for you. Just know that it is totally worth a watch. Seriously, if you are a fan of rough sex at all, this is definitely the movie for you.
