Tristan Taormino’s Rough Sex 2

As much as I love porn and all its awesomeness, it is pretty rare that I eagerly await the release of a porno movie. Sure they come to me and I am excited to see them, but it’s not so often that I hear about a movie and wait with baited breath for it to arrive on my computer screen. It takes an amazing movie to get me all tingly before I even hit play, and this time around I have only two words for you: Rough Sex. Rough Sex 2, actually, as in Tristan Taormino’s Rough Sex 2, the second installment of her revolutionary porn series that brings the real fantasies of the actual performers to the screen and rattles the lines between reality and fiction.

When it comes to any of Tristan Taormino’s movies, I really believe revolutionary is the best way to get her work across. Before the Rough Sex series ever came to pass, there was her straight up instructional videos that removed the drabness and lackluster from educational porn and brought the genre into an engaging whirlwind of anatomy, explanation and hot sexin’. Then was her Chemistry series that brought a group of porn stars together in a house for 36 hours and let them decide who did what with whom and how they did it. The movies brought that behind-the-scenes negotiation to the screen and showed us performers in control of their careers and choices. All of that realness came across in what I can only describe as some of the hottest sex I’ve seen from a mainstream porn company.

And then we have Rough Sex. I was seriously blown away when I first heard of Taormino’s idea of taking the real actors’ desires and creating porno magic. Removing that screen between performer and real person could be risky in some instances, but Taormino sets up some of the safest spaces I’ve seen in porn and brings a general sense of calm and trust to whatever she is working on. But we’ve already reviewed Rough Sex. This time, we are on round two!

Like I said earlier, it’s rare that I truly anticipate the release of a porn movie, but when I get wind of the cast list for this flick, I was so ready to get my watch on! The lineup includes Madison Young, Dylan Ryan, April Flores, Adrianna Nicole, Bobbi Starr, Claire Adams, James Deen, Sinnamon Love and more. I know, right? So hot!

While all the scenes were so insanely sexy (especially with the interviews and conversations about rough sex before the action), there were a few that really stood out as, well… formative.

The one scene I am really thinking of when I write the word ‘formative’ is scene 4, with Madison Young and Nathan Menace. This scene focuses on pony play as a way to have rough, hot sex. Madison is chomping at the bit (sorry, I had to!) to get going in this ultimate fantasy of hers, complete with ponytail butt plug and these amazing boots that turned her feet into hooves. I’ve never really been that interested in pony play in a watching it sense, taking more time to read about it as a kink and look at all the power dynamics.

But once I really sat and watched the whole scenario – from negotiating the details, to her pony ass coming all over the bed (in the stable, of course) – I was immersed. There was something so unsettling and yet settling at the same time about watching this amazingly in control woman turn into an overpowered animal in front of my eyes. I really loved feeling nervous and turned on at the same time, which is what I consider to be the climax of watching something sexy. It gave me something to think about, along with making me feel excited and engaged. It was very different than my definition of rough sex, but totally gave me the same feeling of watching something raw and intimate, which is, in reality, the point. I give this movie two raging thumbs up. Watch this movie. You won’t be sorry!
